I’m curious if anyone believes that translating in your head would cease sooner if you are focusing on watching videos (where there’s likely to be more visual context to connect to the words you’re hearing) vs. getting the majority of your CI via podcasts.
I think this is an interesting distinction. I had thought i stopped around 200 but then realized I'm doing it again at 400. I think it does depend on the source of your CI. It might just take a new source, accent, or increase in difficulty to send you back to translating as your brain recalibrates.

I think you should watch the ALG playlist where David Long explains the method at length. I didn’t completely understand why studying grammar or drilling vocabulary even a little bit was harmful. After watching it, I understand why a lot better.
