Not sure what is going on with you. Maybe you got some other stuff going on in life that is preventing you from really getting into it? The depth the combat brings, the timing for inputs to be handled such as mastering flash guard/flash move, a generous amount of skills for each character, a plethora of characters, monsters, and bosses, the music....I mean the list goes on and the game just delivers on all those for me. Look, I won't drone on as to how perfect the game is but it is damn near it. The story lacks a little bit imo but nothing major and not bad at all as far as JRPGs go. Is it a difficulty thing? Upping it won't help since that would probably make it longer through trial and error and lowering it devalues the encounters. Plain and simple you should stop playing it if you are not enjoying it....unless tolerating the game for an hour until something interesting happens is worth it for you. Personally for me I would rather spend my time elsewhere if I felt that way, and believe me, I have.
Nah man, it wasn't meant like this but I read it like it "when your dad tries to play your videogames". My dad discovered Halo 3 when I got it for Christmas and he is still super into Halo and stuff. Here's the kicker though: HE SUCKS SO BAD AT HALO.
Calling your kid a liar about a game is a poor way to connect with them but Hal does have a competitive nature to him. Anyway that was a sweet story about your dad. My dad didn't play games but he would occasionally watch me play Shining Force (A turn based strategy game on Genesis) the cool part was he would not help me unless I was really stuck. He wanted me to fail until I found success and every once in a great while weigh in on the battle. I don't have a lot of good memories with the old man but that is one of them. This line has always confused me. I hear it as implying that Sub-Zero is the final boss. Which Shang Tsung is, and Goro precedes him. If they boobooed it, c'mon writers, do your research. But if the line is meant to say that they could never beat Sub-Zero at any match, then dang. Git gud, Hal.
My sex life is pretty much non existent at this point. To be fair it wasn't really that great to begin with with my wife. The thing is though she is super sweet and kind. I mean she will give me sex but it is basically just like doing me a favor and I can tell she isn't into it. She's just not that type of person. Especially after having a kid. The last bit of enjoyable sex we had was about 3.5 years ago. Since then nothing fun. Just the occasional standard stuff. The way I deal with it is with my phone and just masturbating. Yeah I just always seen it as a blunder by the writers but it is entirely possible that Hal just always got stuck on good ol' Sub Zero.
