  1. Try being a fan since 72! Yeah most of the first 15 yrs were great and is the only thing to keep me going!

  2. If you can survive the embarrassment of the 90's Isles, spano "ownership", fish sticks, then the Milbury era, you can certainly make it through this downturn too.

  3. Just talked to my family bout this. Probably around 93-94. My dad drove us (myself, my brother and my mom) from north Babylon to the game in basically white out conditions. He white knuckelled it the entire way. It was pretty awesome to not only move down low, but the free voucher for everyone was so cool.

  4. Under the roosevelt field mall. A ton of loading docks and a few tunnels under all the stores.

  5. The play was incredibly dirty and unnecessary. As far as I can tell, Gallagher is not a dirty player, so this is really out of left field. This is not an excuse, but the only think I can think of is that at some point in the game Pelech did something to him and he was getting even.

  6. As soon as a player makes a dirty play, they are a dirty player. End of discussion.

  7. I saw the post on the TOOL subreddit first and thought the red drums with silver hardware looked a lot like a Fishman moomoo. Glad to see you representing two of my favorites! Any Gizzard Lizards on there???

  8. It began with the forging of the Great Tarps, Three were given to the 1.0ers, immortal, wisest and fairest of all beings. Seven to the Wook lords, great drug miners from the depths of California and Colorado. And nine, nine Tarps were gifted to the race of rail riders, who, above all else, desire rail. But they were, all of them, deceived, for another Tarp was made. In the land of Gamehendge in the fires of Mount Icculus , the Dark Lord Wilson forged in secret a master Tarp, to control all others. And into this Tarp he poured his cruelty, his malice and his will to have more space for dancing than is necessary. One Tarp to rule them all.

  9. I love clutch so much. Just saw them recently for the first time and they fucking rocked

  10. I’ve been to hundreds of shows and Clutch puts on one of the best shows I’ve ever seen. Tool has an incredible visually impressive experience, Porcupine Tree bathes the audience in a pristine wall of aural glory, but Clutch is simply the most fun.

  11. I had listened for years, collected as much of their music as I could, then saw them at the Paramount with my two kids in october of 23. They loved it. One of my favorite experiences with them.*

  12. The change over in the tone of his voice here gives me chills everytime. Powerful song, imo

  13. I think that he has the most profoundly touching vocals on ÆNIMA. (The whole album)

  14. My two favorite bands in one thread. Best light shows are phish shows. Best projections, psychadelic fractalesque laser light shows are a Tool show. They've been pushing those limits for years.

  15. Get the live phish CD’s out of the plastic binder sleeve asap. Lots of people on here were posting that the plastic turns to goo and ruins the CDs.

  16. In October of 96 I was at school in Rhode Island and immediately got a ride to Attleboro mall in MA to get my copy on CD. I introduced so many people to Tool that first semester at college. A few lifetime fans now

  17. Being 22 is much more important and worthwhile than seeing Phis in the 90s. I can't imagine any GenX fan that wouldn't gladly trade their 90s Phish show experiences (unless that's where they met their wife) to shed 20 years.

  18. Took my son to his first phish show on 12/31/23. It could not having been more magical to see it through his eyes, even though he knew nothing at all about ganehendgeor Phish for that matter. I'd never trade on the last 20 years, but mine are selfish reasons.

  19. The 30th was my first Phish show, I ended up telling my cousin who is a big phan that I went and he was super psyched for me. So the 31st I made plans with my 3 kids (6,5 and 3) to livestream the NYE show which they were excited about it. My cousin ends up calling me at 5:30 and telling me his friend had an extra ticket if I wanted to go again the 31st. My wife said yes and I promised the kids I’d leave early and be home for 12:00am to bring in New Years with them. I went and was completely mind blown when they did TMWSIY, I didn’t know anything about what it was about and feel so lucky I got to be there for that it was amazing. I left there sometime during TMWSIY in order to be home with my kids like I promised to bring in the New Year together but I find it even better because I came home with T Shirts and stickers from the show they were live-streaming and got to re watch and finish the parts I missed with them. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

  20. Doing what dad's do best. Way to ring in the new year fulfilling a promise to your kids. Kudos.

  21. Are they announcing it on the scoreboard? They'd eat that up. Might even get some swag.

  22. The NB PathMark was in a mini-mall that they put up around the existing supermarket back in the mid-70's. I grew up 2 blocks behind it.

  23. I wish the Isles could decline penalties, like the NFL. Their PP is an embarrassment
