I feel like the sign is very NIMBY. I support businesses up and down that stretch everyday because I live in the neighborhood. I shop small almost exclusively. I think it’s very safe to say that some of those business are irrelevant and guess what they are going out of business. There are many shuttered storefronts just sitting there because drivers drive by them. I heard they are building more housing at the movie theater, I’m in support of that. People who walk the blocks see that. I walk that area everyday with my kid and it’s unsafe. I think shutting down a whole idea to make a safer space without any actual conversation is unhelpful and backwards. I’m unsure if you live in the neighborhood or just driving through but that intersection is unsafe. I didn’t even say I wanted to shut down WP to drivers! Who are you yelling at?

To make a bespoke jacket one needs to take measurements, draft a pattern or at the very least alter a pattern to the specific body, cut the jacket pattern in comparable weight muslin or equivalent, sew that, make alterations, translate those notes onto the pattern, (optional) repeat previous drafting steps, then cut the leather, sew that using specialized equipment. All of this takes time and skill to do it well, which I’m assuming you want it done well. That time and skill is is reflected in price. This is also SF where the cost of living is bonkers. And here you are bitching someone won’t do it for you under market price. Get a grip.

We have a traffic circle close by but then cars increase speed as soon as they turn and there is rarely a stop sign to curb their speed for that block. I’ve heard these aren’t encouraged because it would cause traffic in the circle. I love traffic circles but I wonder (I’m not a city planner) what can be done to prevent speeding once they turn.
There need to be expanded road tests for drivers over 70. Declines can be rapid. More traffic circles and banning left turns at certain intersections. Impounding vehicles for reckless driving (I’m thinking specifically of jackasses pulling donuts to block intersections or drive at excessive speeds)

She’s only 2, so I haven’t crossed that bridge yet, but have given it a lot of thought of what I will say to her once she is more aware and asking things. Thankfully she has my husband’s parents that are very loving and involved, so she is not hurting for grandparents at least.

It may be feasible to afford with the kids. But, when you go on vacation with kids, you’re taking a trip, you’re not actually going on vacation. Just a warning to set realistic standards on what you pay for (side note: that’s why adult only getaways every now and then are crucial)
I had this issue. What worked for me— I do a hot (warm) oil treatment every week before my shampoo day and skip conditioner. Add a good leave in conditioner (I use phyto) in my hair after. I have a lot of greys and they now behave like the rest of my hair.
