If you use it for cooking you wouldn't want salt in it. Easier to salt foods with how much it needs instead of being added from pepper flakes. But you could salt it if you wanted too

Trucks haven't changed much but I was just looking at my suv the other day. I bought mine a year ago, it's a step above base model and similar years that are the fancy edition with less miles are the same price as mine was a year ago

I would consider am5 for sure just so you can upgrade it in the future. If I were to build a am4 pc I would buy all used stuff to keep it even cheaper
