And?? They are not dominating in Europe, infact Europe is looking to add retroactive tax on Chinese cars since they found out about subsidies that Chinese manufacturers lied about. Tesla or not, Europe also has their homegrown auto manufacturers that they want to protect from Chinese manufacturers so chances of BYD dominating Europe are slim
Well, there is a BYD investment for EV and plug-in hybrids in EU for $20billion, which will capacity of 200.000 cars/year. There is no homegrown auto manufacturer in Hungary, but several car factories: the biggest is Suzuki, then Audi, Mercedes, BMW, Opel. I'm not saying that BYD all of a sudden will dominate the EU market, but definitely ramping up the competition with quality cars. Buffet invested in BYD from the beginning too.

Honestly, their profit margins are extremely fat, and their long term goal is to basically rule the world through autonomous fleets, electrified grid, and solar+charging stations in every home so the more people they can get to buy the better.
