I’m like gram, that thing will never see off-road in its life, and we barely get snow in mass anymore. save money on the lift, get snow tires. my civic plows through snow banks higher than the bumper with a good set of snows.

It is like night and day with worklife/homelife balance. I work a 9/80 schedule. Im doing fire hydrant inspections now. Make 117k. No overtime. Its a union job 13 paid holidays. I get 12 hours of vacation and 7 hours of sick pay a month. All that increases over time. They paid for my class A CDL all my certifications to move up. Check out some local small government work around you. It is literally life changing. Don't worry brother it gets better.
No. Don’t get this model used. These have CVT transmission and it is known to suddenly crap out at any point after 100k-120k miles. This was jeeps budget product line for almost a decade so it doesn’t typically have all the bells and whistles. Although the latitude is the best trim package.
Thanks for the insight. I’d be paying cash for a car under $10k so no payments. The price has actually dropped to $6k in the last couple days. It’s tempting just for the 4wd, great cargo space and off road capability. But yeah judging by the comments it’s probably a bad idea regardless

Work towards getting a job that is seasonal, or remote, or travel and work odd jobs, or something that gives you the opportunity to see the world. There are options out there. You are not forced to work the 9-5 lifestyle. There’s probably not a PERFECT option, but there are options

Jeeps are a victim of word of mouth. The Wrangler has gotten a better overall score the last 2 years on quality and overall than the the Rav 4, but people like to say Jeeps are garbage.
To be honest , luxury suvs lose a lot of value in 3 years and the price difference between RWD and AWD would be barely 1k if you are buying used . AWD handles better than RWD in most seasons and someone already took the 3k-5k hit for you when they got the suv so its worth getting AWD . It a different story if you are buying a new luxury suv .
