If we take Anon's post to be correct then yes the expiry date of Archego's swaps mean nothing because Archegos is no more. But Credit suisse still has their hedged short position open. And that could potentially remain open if they were in sound financial standing.

I remember old Bloomberg terminal with 540 000 puts that CS had.

Probably interactive brokers is a best choice as DRSing costs only 5 USD. You can also DRS from Revolut, however from February 2023 they changed the procedure and now they are asking for 55 USD.

CS has been holding onto the swaps that originally drive the massive short interest on GME. They extended the swaps for 2 years following the 2021 squeeze (this was documented in a third party report) and now they are coming due. Nowhere to hide the short postions, especially with the takeover by UBS. Now we are seeing UBS stock falling and their credit default swaps rising as they inherented the massive short positions that CS held.

No, that business will be much much harder to turn around and their products are much bulkier. Also they didn’t have management make an amazing play while killing the company like game did. The share back single-handedly led us to where we are today.

One quick correction is that broker held shares are not in your brokers name either. They own an entitlement just like the client. Cede & Co. owns all non DRS shares. I’m nearly 100% drs GME and around 80% bbby. I appreciate you spreading the good word about DRS.
