As the other reply said, this has not been confirmed. A search for āarchegosā pulled back some posts related to DOOMPs and other interesting things that happened in the months following the original January 2021 spike, some of which mention archegos by name with possible links. But even then the OPs did not claim absolute certainty.
There is insufficient data to prove this happened. There are other explanations. Even if it were the most likely explanation, that does not mean it was proven.
Misleading. i donāt have a link saved, but lots of stock buys get included in the daily short percentage. iirc one part of it is retail buy transactions that happen instantaneously because the market maker legally creates a short position for themselves to cover the purchased shares and then have 35 days to find actual shares.
GME is in the top of daily short volume on NYSE though so it is an indicator that stuff is "different" on our stock.
oh i donāt deny there is likely some continued shorting against GME beyond whatever retail buys get included in the daily short volume/percentage, just that the meme is misleading the way itās worded. Misleading is not the same as wrong or incorrect.
The 2022 Q4 number is going to be very, very interesting. Iām not making any predictions. Also not getting my hopes up for a high number or getting down and expecting a low number. Just interesting

To add onto this: a big part of the usefulness of NFTs is enforcement within the environment. In Gamestopās case, thatās ethereum. So if some scammer tries to sell you an authentic item/product, you can just check the authenticity within the ethereum environment. If the scammer sends you a fake item, you can figure it out this way.
Interestingly, i did not officially qualify because part of my purchase was digital delivery, not physical item, but i still ended up with the nft. Very grateful for it š„³

What you say is true but if I may offer a perspective from someone who fell in to Superstonk and followed the "buy, hold, DRS" mantra for a while before one day sort of 'waking up' from that and transferred majority of shares out of Computershare to a broker to do options...
I donāt look at any reddit subs for the āfeelā of it, be it like a cult or echo chamber or like any other social media platform or whatever else. Personally, i take each post on its own and disregard posts and comments that i donāt care about. Maybe thatās my ignorance, maybe iām part of the problem š¤·āāļø
