We do know from the description above that he has some emotional disregulation and other issues that include an expression of hopelessness and he also seems to blame his partner for his moods, at least occasionally.

What you are describing is not a "bar" or an expectation, it is a particular style. If you don't personally like the style of "fake everything" then don't do it. If you do like that style then do it.Â

They aren't gnostic and won't teach you "Gnosticism", but that shouldn't really be a concern. They will teach you lectio divina and centering prayer, among other things. Spending time in stillness is important for all spiritual seekers.

I think you read too much into this person’s comment. There is a difference between a humble brag and good self esteem, and what this user is getting at is that it reads to them as a humble brag. It’s hard to sus out intention and sincerity on Reddit and a lot of people are ick’d put by humble brags.
I do not know the stage or extent of your MS, only you and your doctor do. That being said, it is not my experience that MS is a disability conducive to a jobsite. Please discuss this with your doctor.
