  1. I was so excited to be a breastfeeding earth goddess when I had my son. I was horrified when it made me feel like I wanted to puke. Like the same sensation as when someone pokes me in the belly button. I’m guessing I had DMER which I did not have a name for at the time. I just thought I was broken. “I don’t like it” is a valid reason to stop.

  2. If they can block student loan forgiveness based on flimsy “loss of income” reasoning - there would be a very legitimately strong court case for this same reasoning that would immediately be filed. There are way too many individuals as well as companies that would lose a revenue source.

  3. It’s 3am EST and sam258 is showing up over the UAE with a nice caravan. I’ve never seen them take this route but I’m sure they have other things to accomplish.

  4. Referencing the price is stupid. It's not like every time you fire the missile the government is debited $400k to replace it, or like we don't have an enormous stockpile of said missiles. There isn't a cost benefit ratio that goes into firing these things. Even so, that missile represents .00005% of the yearly military budget. The US government spends 200,000 per second.

  5. The absurdity of $400,000 for (1) ONE piece of ammunition is v.s. the grand stink that was put up over student loans, healthcare, parental leave, etc.

  6. Considering that 2 of those 400,000 missiles were spent on a 3-day “whoopsie daisy” bender exploding a science club’s hobby project I am inclined to think about the 22 families student loans that could have been fully erased.

  7. I wouldn’t if you would or could use that money if for some unlikely reason this goes through. The refund time period is likely to be glacial and riddled with issues.

  8. Idk the mother may be deaf but she’s not blind. There was an extended amount of time that her child was not in her sight line. This gives me overall bad vibes that the child is attention-seeking through violence to a complete stranger.

  9. After having a baby I don’t understand how this is not the the #1 political issue for every parent. It is insane.

  10. They count on us being too tired, stressed and buried to focus on things that are not an immediate emergency.

  11. I want to point out that Tylenol/acetaminophen is the ONLY OTC painkiller approved for women during pregnancy. So most women take it because pregnancy fucking hurts. I'm 9 months pregnant and it feels like somebody is straight up pulling my ribs out through my back. I'm interested in seeing further research into the correlation but with the clear genetic components of autism I'm thinking it's more like a mom with an autistic kid has taken Tylenol because it's the only thing you can take. A mom without an autistic kid has taken Tylenol because it's the only thing you can take.

  12. It’s like saying that drinking water and breathing air causes autism. It’s the basic common denominator in pregnant women.

  13. Do you think that the proposed update of REPAYE & IDR is to replace the forgiveness?

  14. Our kid knew his alphabet & 1-20 by 16 months but then took a huge break in interest in that until now at 3 and he is starting to learn to write letters.

  15. I would absolutely die of embarrassment and still be dead today if my mom had posted anything about my period on Facebook.

  16. I don’t like that she is potentially sharing this either without her daughter’s consent or full awareness, but the only reason people feel embarrassed about periods is the perpetuated stigma that it is something to be embarrassed of.

  17. I don't know about that. I absolutely hated my period and growing boobs. I had borderline dysphoria over my body maturing so my mother posting this would've killed me inside. Fortunately she knew I struggled immensely and tried her best to have me okay with what was going on with what information we had at that time.

  18. I’m sorry to hear that was your experience. Hopefully normalizing bodily changes and functions as a society will help future people from going through this.

  19. I wish I could. My music tastes are firmly planted before the 20th century. There was a lot of pre 70’s early 80’s (which was my youth/teen years, so I was kinda looking forward to hearing that music). All of it after the first few songs referenced women looking good for their man, doing things for him, taking clothes off… but of course, these lyrics were very typical for that time period of music too.

  20. 100%! They even have ones that the arms zip off so you can transition smoothly

  21. We loved our starfish bag baby swaddle. When he could roll we zipped off the arms.

  22. After three years of mom-ing I’m at the point where I see so many pig-headed bad choices like this. I have stopped trying to interact with people like that and instead focus on making sure other young people, who may not be aware but are exposed to the concept, know what complications come from choices like this. Truly it is her body and her choice, it’s just a bad one that could leave your partner widowed & your new baby motherless.

  23. Our baby went through a two month phase of hating the car and it was highly inconvenient. The sound of my child being inconsolable and me not being able to reach him to help literally turned my brain into mashed potatoes. It was just a phase just like most baby things. It took everything in me to learn how to not only tune out the screaming while making sure he wasn’t in actual danger also while staying vigilant while driving, feeling like someone was drilling through my eyeballs. Then, like most baby things, one day it stopped.
