Personally I would recommend TJ's route first. Without giving spoiler's, TJ's route is amazing, however Flynn's route feels more like a big finale to the story, especially right at the end as it connects details from other routes.
TJ and Carl both have "useless" routes that don't really contribute to the other routes. Carl has some Echoverse story, but it's more related to The Smoke Room. TJ really doesn't have any relevant story. Leo isn't super relevant either, but still fleshes out some characters. Flynn and Jenna should be last, in that order imo.

This is the first I'm ever hearing of this happening. Swap wheels with your partner, and determine what the problem is, the wheel or the shoe.

No, sorry. I wish I could because there are some great mods I'd like to use but haven't been uploaded to the Bethesda mods.
