I once wondered whether Dylan had been influenced by Joyce. I think his main poetic influence was the (other) Beat poets, such as Allen Ginsberg and Jack Kerouac. And their influences were, I think, (mainly) William Carlos Williams and Dylan Thomas. Other influences on Dylan include Woody Guthrie, Hank Williams, Pete Seeger, bluesmen such as Muddy Waters.
I think Acid Rap was lightning in a bottle. Colouring Book was good but even that felt like a step down from Acid Rap. Surf felt like a bit of an unfocused B sides collection, but he might have had a better legacy had it been released as a proper Chance The Rapper tape.
This perfectly describes my favorite song by The Doors: Peace Frog. I love everything about it, except for the spoken word bullshit in the middle. And yet it's still my favorite song by them.

Kerouac was definitely influenced by Joyce!

His perfect pitch makes his music sound really sterile.
Sterile is a really good word for how I feel about his music

I love Misty Mountain Hop, but I hate When the Levee Breaks, which also seems to be an unpopular opinion.
Loving misty mountain hop is forgivable and understandable. Hating their best song, on the other hand…

Inspiration, move me brightly
Honestly, it’s where rainbows never die by the Steeldrivers. Every fucking time! It’s a great song though.

Tangled Up in Blue. Not that exciting but I'd watch it.
I could see it really pulling at the heartstrings though
Shelter from the Storm by Bob Dylan always gives me an amazing blend of bittersweet nostalgia, melancholy, and hope
Without a doubt Oppenheimer
In Undertow by Alvvays

But it makes it so hype when they launch back into the groove!
Sunshine on my shoulder - John Denver It's just so fucking beautiful and wholesome in every single way
Also John Denver, Poems Prayers and Promises
Grateful Dead. Europe 72
Honestly, very underwhelmed by Europe 72 — I find Live/Dead to be way more interesting
I always try to get the masque of Clavicus Vile. I think it's the best looking.
It gives such a gladiator vibe! I love it too :)
