  1. Every time I start a new job I kinda want to but then realise that with my pay and jobs it's not worth it and I get more satisfaction from the number in my account going up than from whatever junk I wanted to buy.

  2. For a race it's best to settle on one setting that works best, your focus should be on what's happening around you.

  3. Ok I've done more convincing to my mum with the actual numbers from my local karting center. My mum called them and they told her that it's €180 per month with weekly classes that last 1hr long (it gets more expensive the more experience you have which makes sense) from Sep-Jun. Imo this is a decent price for go karting compared to the prices I've seen online.

  4. 180€ for 4hours of track time with coaching is a really really good deal and it will probably bring you some connections and it's low commitment.

  5. Yeah I've heard that racing simulators can barelyyyy prepare you for what can happen on track. From what I've seen drivers use them more to get familiar with the track?

  6. I have had the chance to try some really nice simulators and had a decent rig at home for a long time, but they did barely anything to prepare me for my first time out on track.

  7. You will have to speak the local language (German/French/Italian you might not have ti if you want to be a ski instructor, in that case Dutch is very useful) and you will need to have to be from the EU or have a visa that allows you to work in the EU.

  8. I had rented a pair of Vandeer freeride 108s for a 10cm pow bluebird day with barely anyone else at the areas that I went to.

  12. Can’t speak for Zermatt, but there are ropes everywhere in France, you are just entitled to duck them at your own risk.

  13. This incident isn't even particularly unusual I doubt it'll change anything, a few years ago a french school teacher took a class down a closed piste and they were caught up losing 2 kids. They cover the pistes and anything that has potential to cross a piste but that's it, avalanches that effect people on piste are extremely rare but off piste it's considered your responsibility to know your shit I didn't even know making the whole resort secure was even possible tbh. Generally avalanche deaths don't make a big deal in the news presumably because there are about 100 over the 4 month season it's just part of it and not something that effects the majority who never venture off piste.

  14. I only just managed Hanmer so maybe smaller was best for me anyway! I'm gonna stick to sky diving in the future I think haha

  15. I've driven a van without power steering, and that was tougher than expected. Not sure how I'd make a dent in the direction on a ship like that.

  16. If a ship like that looses all power to the steering pumps you don't make any dent whatsoever.

  17. Most cargo vessels are single screw so differential engine orders isn’t an option.

  18. Yeah but quality meat right ? I'm french and we eat raw beef but it's never mince, we take a big part of beef and cut it fresh for be sure it's not old. Also I remember few case of death with people eating medium rare frozen mince beef and so they had a campaign telling people to alway cook it well.

  19. Any country/culture where eating any raw meats etc is normal will make sure that that certain dish is safe.

  20. Logistically it makes perfect sense to do that, there's nothing particularly wrong with going out to a bar alone, but going out alone "to get girls" is probably the best way to ensure you don't get any girls. It can easily come off as desperate or even a bit creepy. Women typically prefer it when you are out with your friends, and you meet them organically and hit it off. When you go out with the sole intention of picking up girls, it will show in the way you act and how you carry yourself, and is usually a big turn off for them.

  21. The last time that I went out and just had fun with the People that I was with they asked me why i was so shy with strangers afterwards.

  22. ACV - um 2022 kart Slalom zu fahren und meine Nat A Lizenz verängstigt zu bekommen, leider nicht rechtzeitig gekündigt und deswegen aktuell noch aktiv

  23. It's good that it's no longer criminalised but I'm not looking forward to the smell.

  24. Well, technically, you need a peripheral to access the computer regardless.
