500 mile inspection is something that did in the old days. Like 1960s. With break in oils and prelubes that are used in the engine builds today. It is no longer a thing. Still not a bad idea just not something that the manufacturer recommends.
3000 miles. Screw the manufacturers recommendation. They run oil way too long so they can get cafe credits for less waste oil. Change that oil every 3k. Remember oil is cheap, engines aren't.
