  1. If the grizzlies continue to nose dive and want to punt on Marcus Smart, I say a [Rui + JHS + lightly protected 2029 pick] would be my ideal trade.

  2. The Long Goodbye (1973): Loved this movie. Elliott Gould gives a performance that I think is bound to become one of my all time favorites. I haven't been that crazy about some of the Robert Altman movies I've seen in the past, but this is undoubtedly my favorite so far. Phillip Marlowe goes to the store for cat food in the opening scene and from that point on I was with him the whole way.

  3. Hey I don't post here, mostly lurk, but for the first time I decided to watch the Exorcist (1973). It's amazing what story is told without saying a thing. The last time I saw the movie I was quite young, so watching it now was a great experience. I can understand why it scared so many people in the 70s.

  4. Thanks for sending the recommendation! "The Exorcist" still sends chills down my spine all these rewatches later. Guess you could say I am "compelled" to watch it at least once a year. 😝

  5. "Primer" was definitely one of the few films I thought I understood on one level, only to find out later, that it was much more advanced than I thought. Mind boggled! 🤯

  6. I'm doing this list off IMDB. You randomly pick from the list. I closed my eyes and scrolled and got #26 Wall Street. It was really gripping and I like the journey it went on from nothing, to wealth, to morals. It's not something I would watch normally. I'm glad I did. I am going to do another one to.

  7. That's how I first got into movies. Before I used IMDB's list, it was very daunting knowing how to start and how to proceed. Using the list helped me organize the films I wanted to see and from there, I branched out to other films by that director or cast member. Looking back, I'm glad I had a list like that to guide me in the beginning. Hope the next film you choose happens to be to your liking, as well! 👍👍

  8. Yeah, I agree here, too. But considering our city jerseys are black, guessing they chose the dominant gold to highlight the black jerseys on the court.

  9. “Alright it’s week 12 and we are down $8 million. I am up a lot on my real life picks, though.”

  10. At the beginning of the pod Bill mentions that he went to another podcast to talk about himself — what podcast was it?

  11. I didn’t watch nearly as many movies as I did last week, because I’ve actually been writing a manuscript about films, currently about 150 pages in, so close to completion

  12. Wishing you the best of luck finishing the manuscript. Sounds like an exciting read! Can't wait to read it down the road. 🙌

  13. “Natasha” from the European clothing store is the same person as the pregnant lady that Elaine threw a baby shower for in Jerry’s apartment.

  14. It's because Pat Cooper was always pissed off. It's not an act, he just turned it into one. Check out any of his appearances on The Howard Stern Show

  15. Can confirm. Steve Schirripa (Bobby Bacala) of the “Talking Sopranos” podcast also does not have many fond things to say about Pat Cooper, either…

  16. The Creator (2023). It reminded me of Children of Men, the world-building was crafted to perfection and the cinematography was brilliant. I thought it was a brilliant film.

  17. I've only ever watched two titles from Joseph Cotten and he's blown me away both times. First with his tour de force rogue turn in Shadow of a doubt and now in Niagara co-starring Marilyn Monroe and the effervescent Jean Peters.

  18. Never seen “Niagara,” but he is sensational in “Shadow of a Doubt.” So menacing there.

  19. Main thing I took away from this: James Jones is not in charge anymore in Phoenix…

  20. I’m right there with Austin: team still needs a physical 5-man, but we got all season to find that guy.

  21. I like all of these picks. The only one that is scary is the Pats one, but I think Dak has at least one turnover and the Patriots can backdoor cover

  22. We also will be missing Tyron smith. Dak gets “happy feet” when missing offensive lineman

  23. Is the trade official? I wonder if we could get them added as a 4th team
