Every year, I make a birthday pie for my dad, illustrating one of his crazy childhood stories. Here's this year's design, along with my dad's narration =)

Research suggests possibility of vaccine to prevent skin cancer. A messenger RNA vaccine, like the Moderna and Pfizer vaccines for COVID-19, that promoted production of the protein, TR1, in skin cells could mitigate the risk of UV-induced cancers.

  1. Check with your doctor. You could have Peyronie's disease.

  2. Cool! I find a pink or gold one every few years on my property. Oddly, this is a dominate genetic trait over the usual green.

  3. My husband works for the FS and LOVES it. We both work from home and I’ve heard many of his All Hands Meetings and it seems like the leadership really wants to make the agency successful and cares for its staff. If I could get a 14 job there, I’d take it in a heartbeat.

  4. The FS role is virtual which is cool. In DoD I feel like my candle is always burning from both sides while being chewed in the middle. The IT folks I met seem great and relaxed. Thanks for the info.

  5. I loved every second of this. I bet you could spend hours listening to your fathers stories. Cherish it!

  6. It’s not erythrism, however it is rare! If it was a erythric katydid it would be pink, however yellow ones are rare as well. I don’t know if katydids can have xanthochromism but that would equal a yellow pigment

  7. I've donated most of the ones I caught to the institute in this article, the Audubon Insectarium which is only a few miles from me. One of their entomologists studying this exact phenomenon explained that it was erythrism.

  8. I needed this today. Thanks buddy for saving me.

  9. I was bit by an infected bat. I thought it was hilarious until an hour later a buddy googled it and told me this.

  10. $30,000 in post exposure treatment over 3 weeks and I was fine! No super powers either!

  11. Completely agree. FB and G PM interviews are a practice game. You need to practice a ton and need to know the formula. There are some unique attributes you need to know.

  12. That's interesting. I never intended to work faang, but spent 2 years in a PM role where we designed just such tests that you mention, with Faangs as our biggest customers. Would actually be funny to take tests that I created with my team!

  13. Sorry, what do you mean designed such tests?

  14. I worked for a company that designs assessments used by companies to identify top talent. Some such assessments measured emotional intelligence, personality fit, etc

  15. Literally every political sub on reddit, right or left.

  16. It probably isn't. Ungulates that lock antlers and suffer this fate are usually the result of an actual fight while both are alive, but one dying to: the fight itself, elements, exposure, predation over long periods of time. The body slowly decomposes or deteriorates, but there is no "decapitation" moment, which confuses most people.

  17. As a life long hunter, I've seen bucks in the rut fight carcasses and decoys several times. A locked up buck will not survive long enough for decomp or predation to be the most likely scenario here. I'm a licensed trapper as well, and have seen instances where bucks are stuck and die from exhaustion or broken necks from trying to free themselves. Lastly, in predation the neck is usually last to be feasted on, and the hide is so thick that even a decayed carcass wouldn't be easy for this buck to separate itself from.

  18. How can I fight the urge to demo you on the highway?!

  19. It's 1920s Hungarian made import. Asking price is $4,600

  20. Excellent follow through and excellent reminder of why I don't shop in the Quarter.

  21. Agreed. They are pretty proud of it at that price, holding up several $5 items!

  22. I have a Ladies Godvia one if you'd like it

  23. I've had tortoises and turtles for 30+ years. They will follow you around once they realize you occasionally drop them something to eat. My 125lb tortoise will try to climb on my lap like a dog. They will follow anything resembling a person, including my terrified mailman.

  24. I'm 38 and have had skin cancer 5 times. This would be awesome.

  25. I'm good. Thanks! Chicks dig scars, right?! I get checked every 6 months like clockwork.

  26. Shhhh! Don't tell him about that place! It's already hard enough to get BBQ there before they sell out!

  27. They usually don't sell out anymore now that they really expanded.

  28. Care to share this technique? I'm definitely interested in giving something like this a try

  29. It's impregnated with epoxy and vacuumed. It's done flat then worked into the shape. The seams are visible in the photos and align with the dark outer supports. A solid technique that has been around for a long time and used to make thin wood very stable and strong.

  30. I have two lenses in my left eye, so it focuses kind of like binoculars do. Focus distance then detail. Not great for focusing quickly, but when focused I have great vision out to far distances. Learned about it during a physical exam for the military.

  31. At Kroger, they had these fake rubber grapes that were attached to a plastic vine.

  32. After this video and the one where the sandwich tech is walking on the meats, cheeses and vegetables for the subs, I am happy to report my last visit to Subway will be my last visit.
