You are better than most. Unless you were abusive she made the wrong choices period. If you are unhappy you communicate it. If communication fails you do NOT disrespect your marriage, your partner and yourself by cheating; you take the honorable path and leave. Cheating robs your partner that you at one point claimed to love of being able to make an informed choice. It impacts their ability to trust, sews doubt within them and can risk their wellbeing. If you think you can trust an affair partner that willingly participates in the destruction of a relationship/marriage you overlook a specific degree of narcissim and selfishness that it takes to do that: it can come back to impact the loyal spouse who doesnt know what is occurring.

Not everyone thinks like you. Sometimes parents just want to give their child a wholesome family. So they keep their issues to themselves and raise the child together. I work in the childcare department and there is a difference in single parent families and children with both parents in their lives. How would u know tat the child will survive fine? People can change - but I'd never take someone back who cheated on me once. It shows an utter lack of respect for you and the commitment they made to you.
