I don’t have Amazon Kids…but the Fire is app-based. On the Home Screen you can open the Amazon Kids app just like a tablet.

That option is not available in any other platform I've tested the Kindle app on. Only on the actual kindle tablet will show that feature. It basically locks out your kindle with a pin allowing only selected books to be shown.

Commenting to mention that I did look into the Amazon Kids+ app. Besides having a monthly fee it seems that library sharing with the Kindke app is not supported which would defeat my purpose anyway.

Onyx Boox, Kobo and others already have colour options. But... looking at depleting stocks of older Kindle models on Amazon and also rumours online it is possible that a colour Kindle is hitting the stores soon. Onyx Boox does run the Kindle Android app.

So any color eink tablet running android will essentially allow me access to my kindle collection? I've bought my entire linrary from Amazon. I'd like to avoid having to convert files if going outside their ecosystem.

You should be to install the Kindle Android app and still access your Kindle collection.

Thank you. Yes i was doing some Googling but it seems only on the official Kindle can I switch to whatever kid kids profile you create. The Kindle app doesn't support that feature on other devises as far as I cam tell. Not sure about the fire tablets. Still looking into that.

I have always stuck with the kindle branded flip cases preferably premium leather if available. The screens are so vulnerable to breaks i feel much safer having my screen covered plus i like flipping it open with no need to hit the power button and go straight to my last book.

I also use the kindle branded flip case and I've found the ones that come with the "kid version" with the printed graphics are if much better quality. Not sure why.

Yes you can pay to remove them. The cost is the same as if you had bought the regular kindle. You’re basically getting a $20 discount for the ads, with the option to remove ads if you wish.

They come as a pair one that clips onto the kindle itself with 2 metal dots (pins) that are touching the display and you have a remote control when you press the button it sends a signal to the page turner acts as a finger and turns to the next page. I’ve heard Bluetooth page turners work but haven’t seen it say specifically if it does

I was one of those people who got a Kindle because I thought I was spending way too much money on physical books so I'd save some $ this way.

I bought a second one for my kid. She is 1 year old. So I really bought a second one for me 😅

Which is why this is probably a performance project to sell his art. Can't get into a gallery? "Oh let's go watch this dumbass set fire to shit," and then everyone sees it's not as bad as he is saying and picks a piece out of the pile for pity and even if it's just $20 per he still wins.

That was my first thought. An artist with talent AND a good marketing mindset. This person is going places.
