  1. The one thing they hate doing in mesng... points changes. While some mesbg models are not really viable in competitive play. A LOT are viable. And that viability will always depend on the meta, which is just another saying what are most ppl playing / what are you most likely to encounter, not necessarily what is "the best." I really like that GW barely messes with the rules of this game. Obligatory Gandalf the White needs to be lowered in points so he can be taken more.

  2. I reckon rather than lowering points you could give him Pippin as a passenger for the same point cost. Mirror the rules for Dernhelm, suddenly he's much more viable.

  3. Anything involving other people's kids. Watching women try and discipline their kids is like pulling teeth. Bitch control your fucking child.

  4. Balins tomb! A troll and a bunch of goblins, probably one of the most iconic scenes involving the fellowship

  5. The price is wild that it's only a small amount more for the board game compared to The Fellowship, So that would be super convenient if they are the same size!

  6. They are exactly the same models, and same size bases. The literally just packaged up the minis from the outdated mines of moria set and included a board and board game rules with them.

  7. Never Tell Me the Odds is great! Only recently discovered and finished the first season but Gippy is hilarious

  8. Just play separate factions. And randomly split the list of command cards you can choose from. Yes you might not be able to do your optimal build but it'll mean no game is the same!

  9. Dumb question but what's the lighting in the room like? First time I wet mine up I couldn't get the headset detected. Figured out I need to close the curtains in the room, extra lighting was messing with the detection.

  10. Both! Start with paper chase and then move into edge of darkness. Paper chase will be really helpful in getting everyone familiar and comfortable with the rules, while edge if darkness is an excellent first 'proper' scenario.

  11. Honestly being a dad has really highlighted how bad most women are at being parents

  12. The mini campaigns are actually harder for newcomers, as they start off with some XP. Can be difficult if you've never played before to know how to allocate it!

  13. I turned on my series X this morning and discovered that I don't have any save games anymore! What really upsets me is that I'd worked through all the other crashes, by frequent saving so I was never too far back when it crashed, and I was about to enter the tower, the point of no return, in sight of the end. Okay so I'd not bothered with a lot of the other other agents but I was going to finish the game. So if anyone comes up with a way to get them back .......

  14. Looks great! What type of resin did you use?

  15. I've just transferred my shares from Hatch to IBKR, was surprisingly quick and easy

  16. Heeeey samesies. Hope for moass by next month?

  17. The starter kit has a pregen character called 'Nevada Jones', sounds like it'd be right up your player's alley!

  18. Most credit card companies guarantee to cover you in the case of scams, provided you've been taking basic security steps (not sharing your PIN etc). Contact your bank and they will arrange the refund with the CC company

  19. Thank you im about to contact them right now, any chance to catch the guy also or no.

  20. CC companies have massive anti fraud units, but these usually focus on preventing reoccurrance as it can be near impossible to catch someone who could have scammed the card from the other side of the world. In all likelihood the CC data was taken from a less than reputable online store. There's often very little you can do about it as it can be hard to tell what is legit and what isn't. This is part of the reason CC companies guarantee refunds, its security on THEIR product thay allows this to happen. The other reason they guarantee refunds is course that they don't want to put people off spending..

  21. Ah my immersion kinda bothered by that. But maybe it’s fine? Think video game. 😀

  22. Death is VERY rare anyway, as there is very little reason for an imperial player to outright kill (ie withdraw) a rebel as the lose condition is usually wounding all rebels.

  23. Have anyone that views the photos see them as ordinary photographs, showing normal things, no matter how horrific the PC see the photograph as. It would be unnerving to have a photo of cthulu that everyone else sees as a picture of a puppy!

  24. But the card says, "While attacking" not "“Use while attacking" and the rule states "If an ability is “used,” it can be triggered multiple times each round". Meaning, if it is not "Used" it can not be used multiple times each round. The example the rules call out “Use while attacking to apply +1H to the attack results”.

  25. You're making an inference that isn't there - there are much more specific ways of denoting abilities that can only be used once per round. There are already much clearer ways of indicating abilities that can be used once per round (eg exhaust abilities).

  26. Smart! For such a big model, it would seem that it doesn't take that long to paint

  27. A lot quicker than the equivalent number of small models that's for sure! Getting happy with the flames was kinda time consuming but I'm fussy.

  28. Looks great!! I'm stealing your recipe, just so you know :p

  29. Different coloured rims, one black, one blue, on red (for the elites). Elites also have red shoulder pads, so most of my stories have the traditional white only look except for the elites. I do something similar for all my units, elites get a red rim with some kind of red detailing (eg red blood effects for the wampa, red stripe for the sentry droid).

  30. There is always the Star Wars RPG from FFG. Unfortunately it will have a narrative element, but if you run a pre-made adventure you won't have to think much about that.
