That's true on a psychological level, but I'm more saying from an outsider POV such as in the scenario OP is painting for us, I fail to see how people can definitively say that this is a stalker and not a yandere. We can't see inside of this girl's mind so on that front it would only be speculation.

Despite how much the media exaggerates things, the world is relatively at peace save for a small handful of major conflicts in any given year, and the average lifespan is doing nothing but trending up thanks to charitable efforts by nearly every country.
