AHT is a productivity metric, you are correct however, from a customer experience standpoint it's the time spent by the customer to resolve the issue. If you are to map the customer journey, a customer should have a seamless transaction in the product/service you are offering to be satisfied. The longer the time spent by the customer the lower the chance that they will be satisfied which is why ease of resolution and timeliness is impt.
