Maybe, but I think it more likely would be remembered as a darker sister film to Night of the Creeps. Is Night of the Creeps super widely known? No. Is it forgotten? Also no.
That is fair. Although there is a few films that Carpenter made like Starman that aren't really remembered unless you are going to a John Carpenter deep dive. Also I don't think that Carpenter holds that much weight as there is other movies that people go to first.
I actually think the powers are interesting, but misplaced on MJ. They'd fit better with like an X-Man or something, or even a darker property like Invincible or Gen V. With MJ, it just feels neutered, especially since she needs to have some degree of plot armor, and also why does she need to have powers.
Yeah the whole format of having each lord remain in their own domain is why that is and Lady D’s size and castle are supposed to make you feel small and weak which only really works closer to the beginning of the game.
All of the ways that living bodies in space are handled are different (Guardians vs. Thor vs. The Marvels) and none of them are at all like how it would actually happen in real space. Guardians' one bugs me the most though since there's not "well they're powered/enhanced" that we can lean on like the other two. It's just stupid with the weird rapid freezing and thawing thing.
I played it for free one weekend via free Xbox trial. It was fairly good despite not being a fan of that genre. Just something new to blow through the weekend with
i honestly think they don’t have a choice. they killed so many mutants in genosha that they need to undo it. and with cable fighting apocalypse in the intro, it makes sense to me
I would agree if they'd killed Nightcrawler. He was never central to this show, and would be an easy to kill to heighten the stakes if it would all be reversed anyway. But they made it a point to keep him alive.
The Apocalypse movie is what killed things for Fox. They did an awful job portraying Apocalypse in a live action movie. It’s not Oscar Isaac’s fault, but trying to do Apocalypse with just makeup and prosthetics is stupid.
A grounded version wouldn't be hard. They'd probably call him Essex, and the Mister Sinister name would be like some brief Easter egg or something. Or maybe it'd be like something his old experiments called him, and they could plug into old texts to play up the fear of the man.

Strange was the only one I particularly wasn't fond of... I felt like they took his usual persona and dialed it up a bit too much. He's always arrogant, but he ain't usually this talky and in your face about it. I prefer my Strange to be more meditative and then just get super frustrated with the slightest incompetence.
