I walked the entire length of the country of Portugal. It took me 35 days and over 800km. I carried the least possible with me. A tent, some clothing, and basic utensils. This went from being a childhood fantasy to a hypothetical bucket list, to actually happening and I am super glad :)

How much did you spend on carnet?
400€ + Deposit
How was the visa process for Iran?
I applied online, answered several questions, uploaded documents, gave a rough itinerary etc. Then I collected the visa at an iranian consulate in Turkey :)
What carnet de passage did you get, and how much was it. Did you have to leave a deposit? If so, how much was it? Thank you
Carnet de passage duone. Asked for it to the automobile association of Portugal. The deposit was 3000 euros :)
How did you obtain the carnet de passage and how did you present it to other countries?
You obtain the carnet via the Automobile club of your country :) In my case, ACP of Portugal.
I’ve had this goal since finishing Camino Frances and am looking forward to learning about your route.
I did a combination of marked routes and a fair bit of improvisation.
Would love more pictures if you have them!
I do :) but how would you have me share them?
Congrats on your adventure! Do you think its possible to do it as a woman as well? Or is it too dangerous?
Thank you!
How did you fund the adventure?
Worked in Germany and saved money
Cheers if anyone has an invite for me!
Epic trip man! Thank you for sharing
Thank you! My goal now is to go back to normal life, get my finances back on track, and then we will see. I'm thinking of perhaps doing a smaller scale adventure on a bicycle, crossing some northen country in Europe perhaps :)
My cousin rode his bicycle from Cairo Egypt to Johannesburg South Africa... a pack of Hyenas ate him.... just kidding, he did have a standoff. Dumb Dutchman.
That's a whole new level, what a legend!
Something like this requires alot of courage, so firstly congratulations on that !! Saw the entire video, and I can say that the Earth is marvelous ! 1.Sittting on the motor bike for days, it gets mentally n physically tiring, so how did you prepare yourself for this 2. What was the thought process, why did you wanted to do this adventure 3. Was this the first time that you travelled across continents on a bike 4. How did you plan everything 5. During the journey you ever felt like quitting ? 6. How did you find India
Thank you so much!
Did anyone ever try to steal the camera?
No :)
Even more impressive! Did you lose any weight at all?
Around 4kg :)
Hi! I'm planning to do that as well. Did you find it useful and is it easy enough if you have no background?
Hi! Absolutely, it very much low-paced and completely beginner friendly.
I’d love to learn how to do this for each estate in the USA. What do you suggest I use to create that? Software… programs..?
This tutorial is literally doing that! Ray shader for Florida :)
Absolutely fantastic!
Summing up:
Hey, I just recommended your video to someone at
Absolutely! It's super cool of you. Thank you and I hope it can give some visual tips :)
What trail or route did you take?
Congratulations, I wish I had your guts! I wanted to ask you if you went completely alone, and how much money did you take (I read that you spent 400 euros)? How did you maintain hygiene when it came to your basic needs (I hope this last question doesn't bother you)?
Thank you!
Can’t watch video yet, not on wifi. But plan to do that soon. Some quick questions.
Thank you :)
Looks like a great walk. Did you have any issues crossing private land or property?
Very rarely I had to cross fenced land, and when I did it was mostly for shortcut sake. There were never any issues :) I believe it's because right next to the coast the land is not the best for farming and it's mostly eucalyptus or pine trees.
Wonderful! I love Portugal and am hoping to get back. And backpacking isn’t so bad either. That’s great that you were able to tent so many nights. What are the rules there around wild camping/tenting? Was it easy to always find a spot? This looks like a great trip to add to my plans, well done.
Thank you!
Rule 3 of the sub. Cool for you, but wrong place.
Understood, should I post merely the pictures?
