Great film. Love Bruce Greenwood and Carla Gugino as actors, but anything Mike Flanagan puts them in is bound to be great. You can tell he loves and respects the source material, at least when it comes to SK.

Yeah he was a bit of a liability in Game 1 last year. He looked sharp last night, though he got his pocket picked by Stankoven which led to one of the Stars goals. Still though, his conditioning's got to be pretty insane for him to play like that after missing so much time.

Stone also doesn't rely on skating and speed to be a good player which makes a long absence/injury easier to come back from.

Good point. He gets by largely on his hockey IQ and his ability to force turnovers. Which is also why I love watching him play.

Very nice work. Believable shading/materials all around. Love the detail of the 'Christmas tree' clips in the fender lining! If I had to critique anything it'd be the dust mapped onto the side of the car, which feels a bit odd in the full side view, but that's a nitpick if anything.

Agreed. That was a funny combination. If Sanders wasn't such a dipshit and pushover, you'd really feel for him. He loses everyone he loves and is suicidal before turning to drugs.

Feeling like this round will be won or lost in goaltending for Vegas. Time to see if LT can step up and go god mode for the playoffs or if his first game in the post-season is going to get to him. When he's confident, he plays great, but he can definitely get rattled.

I just finished it today. Second time through and I enjoyed it both times. Didn’t mind the slow burn as there was a satisfying payoff at the end, in my opinion. Also really loved the characters of Matt Burke, Mark Petrie, and Father Callahan.

I enjoyed The Outsider well enough. The casting of Cynthia Erivo as Holly threw me initially since she wasn’t even remotely as described in the book both in character and appearance. I think she lacked a lot of Holly’s quirks that make her endearing. She still did a decent job in the role, but I think Ben Mendelsohn stole the show as Ralph.

Fair. Competition is stiff for the title of worst, but as it stands, they seem to have zero redeeming qualities. These aren't people who grow up to contribute to society and they have little grasp on what is right or wrong.

Is it a child's fault that they grow up like that? This is a societal issue, not just some dumb individuals.

I understand that point of view, and I do believe society has failed these kids. I'll admit, I don't have a good grasp on what it's like to grow up like that. These days, social media is also glamorizing this type off behavior, which has to just turbocharge the degeneration of these kids. You have these literal children that are roughly 11-15 (as stated in the video) thinking that this is the coolest fucking thing. It's mind-boggling to me I guess.

I feel like this is either going to be a 4 game series in Dallas' favor, or a 7 game series in ours. We'll see which version of the Golden Knights shows up on Monday. And if history is any indicator, we'll also have to see who shows up to Game 2. We dropped Game 1 to Winnipeg and then did a gentleman's sweep, but the series I always call to mind is the one against Colorado a few years ago. They blew us out in Game 1 and then we wrecked their shit.

I grew up on 'oldies' from the '60s and it's still one of my favorite decades for music. I was born in the mid-80s, so it wasn't all that old at the time, but I always preferred it over current music growing up.

Oh I’m not mad about the Stone thing, Benn did his time and the Stars got eliminated. I just think he’s lame because he said he doesn’t go down on his woman. What a selfish asshole.

I would be so sad to see Dave go...he's an incredible broadcaster. We have a solid backup in Dan D'Uva who does an excellent job with the HSK coverage and VGK radio broadcasts, but I really do enjoy Dave and Shane's broadcasts. I'm sure he's happy out here, but would understand his desire to go home and cover Boston.

I love Carrier's grit, but he's been injury prone as of late. Ammo's steadily improving his game and has come in clutch a few times this year and last, so I'd like to see him stick around.
