  1. This is talking about the Palestinian Authority, not Hamas, who

  2. PA are also terrorists. They've reduced their explicit terrorist activities in recent years, but they still engage in them via proxy groups. This is the government authority responsible for the Munich massacre via its Black September group, don't forget. These groups are still active. PA just doesn't do the big flashy shit anymore. They've grown out of mass murder and plane hijackings directly. Now they do what Iran does; fund other groups. They pay for the martyr pension (pay to slay) that pays Hamas terrorists for each Jew they kill.

  3. The fact that Palestine be even eligible for UN membership when one governing body is made up of violent terrorists while the other party pays those terrorists’ families for each Jew they kill. Which government gets recognized within what borders?

  4. It isn't that one party in Palestine is a terrorist group (Hamas) and the other isn't (PA). They both are. They just used to kill each other in their struggles for power. PA has a nice history of hijacking and downing airplanes and orchestrating suicide bombings, among other things. THey also pay for the martyr fund -- you know, the pension that financially motivates Palestinians to murder Jews specifically, and increases the pension amount inaccordance with how many Jews any one terrorist takes out (the family collects in the event that the terrorist dies; little wonder that Palestinians teach their kids in official textbooks that Jews (not Israelis) are literally subhuman).

  5. You’re right, and I think all of this speaks to the general illiteracy Americans have towards class dynamics. Tech workers may be labor aristocrats but are still far from being bourgeois (no, owning stock, or even having your own LLC do not make you bourgeois; at most you are still working class with bourgeois aspirations). But our shit tier country is really really good at creating divisions within the working class, and now we see absurd consequences of that, such as mass layoffs at companies that are profitable enough to do stock buybacks.

  6. They are called the “petty bourgeois” and the replies to your comment show how woefully ignorant supposed left wingers are in both scope and ideology.

  7. The programmer bubble just poped. They had it good for a long time but now there are more qualified people than projects to work on. Especially with AI being able to handle more and more of the grunt work.

  8. That’s not it at all. Are you a dev in this space? Because I am.

  9. If you are a great developer, a great growth marketer, a great launcher or a great salesperson; you really don’t want a union negotiating on your behalf. You want to price your compensation (salary + bonuses + stocks + other) based on value created rather than price on some hourly rate.

  10. You could have bought games used and sold them after you finish them. Only reason why I haven’t transitioned to PC yet is because I can’t do that there.

  11. On PC you can just buy games cheap because the dominance of Steam means competitors can’t really enforce most favored nation prices like on PlayStation. Notably even Microsoft doesn’t force it on Xbox which is why you can buy keys from third parties which keep prices competitive.

  12. Is it a money grab when companies release new GPUs you don't have to buy? It's an optional upgrade that gives developers more power... That's it

  13. Yes it is a Sony money grab. That’s literally why they are doing it.

  14. I thought Google's internal motto was "Don't be evil."

  15. Such a shallow take. Guess what? Don't be evil is still part of their motto. It is the closing line.

  16. There is when your customers leave to other games because they're not having as much fun.

  17. Yep something many in this sub don’t care about unfortunately. This game is bleeding players on PC because the game is so broken and, in some cases, unplayable.

  18. In real life if a stronger big guy blocked 300 punches and landed 300 punches on a small guy in the street, the big guy would definitely get ripped apart

  19. Hey devs, feel free to acknowledge the matchmaking quick play issues that have existed for two months now, I’d like to play

  20. Sorry, can't; they are too busy shitposting in the official discord server to stir up drama and toxicity. Literally right now, go check it out. In hd2-general-chat-1.

  21. They will definitely be fixing this because The Spiffing Brit just popularized it on YouTube for his millions of followers. Honestly, we should be begging streamers like him to popularize all the exploits and bugs because then these issues might finally get resolved...

  22. Here's the website that all of these articles don't want to link to:

  23. Did anyone supporting Uri actually read his sub stack that sparked this?

  24. Other comments swear it doesn’t but I don’t know how what they are listening to. It isn’t crazy to think government funded entity is a fan of government party that wants to give them more money

  25. You know what is crazy? To say that NPR is biased because it wants to keep the government gravy train money coming in. Do you know how much of its revenue the government contributes?

  26. This was never about zionism. That's why Hamas' charter didn't make that distinction. That's why Jews, not zionists, were purged from surrounding countries. That's why Palestinian curriculum refers to "Jews," not "Zionists" or "Israelis." Doubly so when those same textbooks get to talking about how the greatest honor is to become a martyr after taking a few Jews out before hand.

  27. Lol like it would be done now? Its an empty gesture, nothing will change

  28. UNRWA teachers, Hamas, and the Palestinian Authority wouldn't have protested the changes and attempt to derail them if they weren't potentially impactful. Warning,

  29. Why were there 172 votes against this?

  30. Consider why there aren't Jews all over the Middle East when they are indigenous to that area pre-Islamic colonization. The people responsible didn't disappear unfortunately. They were the success story that their big brother in Europe could only dream of; total (or near total) eradication and containment.

  31. Depends when they start working. “Be no evil “ used to be part official Google positioning statement.

  32. People act like "Don't be evil" is some gotcha or zinger that proves an argument. It isn't. It is just corporate branding.

  33. Who will invest in new companies? Nobody going to do that is their ownership gets revoked later.

  34. Maybe people can just work for a living, instead of sucking the blood out of a permanent underclass.

  35. This can exist today you know. It’s not like illegal or anything.

  36. *Can* exist. But it has a massive competitive disadvantage since it does not concentrate power and wealth into as few hands as possible. It is the same type of argument used to justify abolishing (or simply freezing) minimum wages, busting unions, or allowing companies like Microsoft/Apple/Meta/Oracle/IBM/Alphabet to collude and suppress wages (in that particular instance they were fined a tiny amount); "if we don't do it, someone else will."

  37. you do know if the nazis won there would be no Poland 80% of the population was to be wiped out and the remaining 20 kept as slaves poland still exists if the nazis had their way there would be no slavs

  38. I fear that people will say you are being hyperbolic. For them I say: please lookup Generalplan Ost.

  39. Who has the money and time to run for office? Old people with lots of money. Overwhelmingly they’re attorneys too. Old. Rich. Lawyers.

  40. That's a somewhat recent phenomenon oddly enough. It really started after the early 90s.

  41. This ^ you might think it’s overhyped because it’s new but it’s truly THE co-op experience and it’s going to be for a long time

  42. I like Helldivers 2. I've played it since launch. But I caution people joining it with the intention of playing with real life friends at the moment.

  43. I’m just baffled why YouTube prices are so damn expensive. I went to sign up a couple of months ago as I had decided I was happy to pay the somewhere between £5.99 to £9.99 I imagined it to cost… NOPE — £25.99 for a family plan. Closed that window right out. I’m not paying 4-5x the cost of a big budget streaming service.

  44. Thanks to the Fediverse, you can already watch a decent amount of YouTube via

  45. I did and it isn’t surprising to me that Iran used what is happening to push things in a direction favorable to them. Anyone who is refusing to even attempt to engage in discussion is doing what Iran wants by doubling down on their position. Iran doesn’t care about Palestine, as stated in the article they want to destabilize things because that benefits Iran.

  46. That’s the thing: these leftists do hate their country, the USA in particular. I’m a left; I know this is a fact. And it isn’t just online personalities whipping up contrarian communities. It’s people I know, too.

  47. is the ps5 version worth it? the framerate doesn't seem able to keep up 60, and the resolution on performance mode seems straight up bad

  48. I’d say it depends on your options. Do you have a gaming pc? Is it Intel and NVIDIA? If yes, pc may be better. If it’s AMD just know that there are a lot of problems with some of those chipsets and arrowhead has acknowledged it as a problem with both cpu and gpus.  Can you play with a controller? If yes, maybe ps5 is the right choice. I have played with both controller and keyboard and mouse my entire life. Never a problem except with this game. I feel that you must have keyboard and mouse if the option is there. PS5 version doesn’t allow it. Controller and this game seriously feels like you are handicapping yourself for adaptive triggers and gyro aim in my opinion.

  49. Yo can we chill with obstruction to visibility? I'm really sick and tired of not being able to spot elites past 50 meters. All this fog and dust is really getting annoying for me when I'm dealing with 3 bruiser hulks and 5 rocket devastators unloading enough munitions to supply fort knox meanwhile I can't even see them past 50 meters and I'm reliant on tracing muzzle flashes. Its especially annoying when the sun just turns the fog into a bright haze in which I lose all hope of discerning any outlines.

  50. "Sorry, best we can do is to play a sun at the perfect position such that it blinds you and washes out your display while you struggle with all the other environmental effects."

  51. I don't think Tesla is exactly a vanity stock.

  52. Good point about people seeking to get in early. See also: a lot of crypto projects, almost all of which ended up burning people.

  53. I disagree with the people saying that Windows XP is what Microsoft should aspire to. I guess, perhaps, if you were just a kid when it came out. But Windows XP was a hog for a long time, and was hailed as more performant (at least initially) because Windows ME was so bad.

  54. they have a website, and take suggestions...

  55. For what it is worth, their Zendesk is overrun with suggestions and tickets. I know people who still haven't received their in-game content that they paid for even 2 months after opening tickets on Zendesk. It has been radio silence.

  56. I'm surprised fixing the technical issues and bugs isn't the top one. I would literally enjoy using fire weapons/strategems more if they only worked when I was hosting. I would enjoy the AMR more if the scope wasn't lying to me.

  57. Discord communities reach out to the extremes because it is a pain in the ass to use (relative to not using it at all, or using other social media to which you already belong. Plus public chatrooms are shit in general).

  58. Bug fixes. They’re literally preventing people from playing or even actively causing people to quit. Like why in gods name on a game do heavily focused on co-op play does my friends list not work properly yet? All i want to do is play with friends without having to used a third party interface every time.

  59. Sorry, friend, prepare for downvotes from the all the sweaty players who must burn through new content while excuse making for a broken game.

  60. As a minor aside, people like Fireship have the benefit of a community feeding them information (Parasocial relationships are strong; see also how certain game streamers always find these weird exploits… really they just popularize them after the community tells them about them). Fire ship is a business and has a team working for him, too. He doesn’t need to know everything; just present it well enough.
