Short answer… if you are one to cruise mountains and go on long drives 981… want to accelerate and go fast with paddle shifters and take tight turns 718… if you get one make sure it has chrono package either way
Man, I’ve been wrestling with this same question…but on the Boxster side (and a manual). I’m leaning 981 GTS. The sound and experience is just intoxicating.
My first Porsche too, i autocrossed a 2.5 gts , i wasnt sold and then autocrossed a 981 gts. I was sold, I bought 981 s , even without the ptv,i installed ohlins coilovers, antigravity battery, lightweight wheels, gt3 LCA, alctanra steering wheel to replace the push button paddles. GT4 front and rear sway bars.

I work at a warehouse? News to me. Bottom line is, it doesn’t matter because the parcel is delivered to your house and there’s nobody to steal it on the way except for the courier themselves
So you ve never worked at a warehouse but somehow you know owrk would be difficult to ship stuff in unmarked boxes, How logitech, samsung etc. manage to do just that.
Traction Control or ABS. I forget which colour is which on that car, but if it happens when you slam the fun pedal down on corner exit it's the traction control kicking in. To avoid that ease on the throttle a little more slowly to avoid it (TC really kills your exit speeds).
Really unaccepatble to sell the wheel with such a cheap QR, Most people wouldnt mind paying a lil extra for a quality product than a cheap QR that they end up replacing, German Companies can be so greedy reminds me when Porsche used to charge extra for cruise control while it was standard on Lexus even Toyota
Did u read what happened to the wheel and base?? He really could be happy as hell that it was the QRlight attached which breaks as a damper. If the same thing happened with a sturdy QR (one or two) it surely damages the base‘s shaft or more so what did u want to tell with that post??? If it’s not sarcasm, then it’s really funny how strange some people behave, only to say at least something.
That was me, dont report me. I misjudged brake pressure, i used very light pressure mid turn instead of heavy braking and the car rotated too much and jumped the curb and the other car hit me, at taht point i was jus t enjoying the ride on the grass , nothing i could do, i lost control.
Once you regained some control you accelerated through the grass into the track taking me out and ruining my race on lap 1. I'm definitely reporting lol.

I have an M2 competition that has tons of low end torque, my 981 s doesnt feel slow in comparison, just as fun if you like to go fast.

The Boxster 981 gts, looks and sounds way better.
What most people dont realize even a fully loaded 718 GT4 RS has tons of blank buttons.

i have 6 feet, my rig only has 3 pedals. it's fine
