Sentinel451

  1. The RIGHT partner would be delighted you're smarter because that makes the two of you as a couple stronger. Jealousy indicates competition, and it should be the two of you against the world, not against each other

  2. Could also be insecurity. 'They are so smart, why are they with my dumb ass? They're going to leave me for someone better.' I've encountered that before from both ends. It's not rational, but it's there.

  3. WTF, Hagerstown. Why do you always pop up in the oddest places?

  4. I generally like Darby, but this such a dumb fucking thing. There's no point or reason in climbing Everest. It's insanely dangerous for everyone involved and horrible for the mountain. "I climbed Everest!" is stupid brag. Yeah, you and a thousand other idiots, many of whom are still there because climbing Everest is FUCKING STUPID AND POINTLESS.

  5. Dad sucks so so much. Technically didn’t dad kill mom cause he got her pregnant? If he had never done that she would still be here. Poor kid didn’t ask to be born.

  6. I wonder if dad does think that, but couldn't mentally handle it and so took it out on the kid to deflect the blame from himself. Who knows, maybe he was the one that pushed for a kid.

  7. As thanks for annoying RJ City in his absence Danhausen has given Renee access to demonic portals.

  8. I'm glad we have this since the wreck isn't going to last much longer. A lot of it has already collpased and/or disintegrated since it was rediscovered.

  9. I love those two! I also really like The Sentinel, Highlander, Quantum Leap, etc.

  10. OMG. I don't know what it is in your comment that unlocked this, but all this time I've been watching Ted Lasso and wondering why Rupert's character seems so familiar to me. He was Uther Pendragon in Merlin! Sorry, carry on.

  11. Anthony Head! I think he got really well known as Giles on Buffy the Vampire Slayer. He's a great actor, plays snobs and/or villains really well. Great singer, too.

  12. Also I'm glad I'm not the only one to still remember the days of Cassandra Clare and her drama. Now if you tell me you were somehow involved in the thanfiction drama I'd say we ran in the same groups on livejournal. I remember calling in sick to work the day that all imploded so I could keep up with it all.

  13. Damn, plagiarist Cassie Clare and thanfiction mentions, those were some wild times. And thanfiction's story got even more insane over the years.

  14. I just figured he'd get a car and/or have a friend drive him, and if that was true, then yeah he'd be gone to either hunker down in, IDK, Houston or head to Mexico. Hunkering down in a tiny town is dumb, someone is going to notice you.

  15. I understand where you're coming from, but I don't think jail is going to help Bam. I'm not sure you can wake up from an entire lifetime of head injuries and substance abuse because someone locks you away. I don't even think being forced into treatment is going to help, to be honest.

  16. Sadly I don't think he's going to have that moment. Everyone has tried multiple times to get through to him, but even Steve-O has given up. You can't help someone who doesn't want to be helped.

  17. I did it on Pilgrim to do it quickly and had no trouble finding enough. I had more than I needed. They are kind of hard to see. Make sure you aren't looking over them. They can be on the floor sometimes.

  18. Like I said, I scoured the dam again, but I had already looted it. I'm 100 days in on this Pilgrim run, so there's not a lot left I haven't looted. I think that might be my issue, unfortunately, based on some other comments I've seen. I'll keep looking but I might have to start over on a new run or wait until a new region drops.

  19. Yeah. I don't think the game will spawn new items when they are added. You are better off starting a new save in the airfield.

  20. Do you have the DLC? You'll need to complete the tale that was just released.

  21. Eh, sort of? The individual university kept its name, but it and others came together to form an overaching university. Same thing happened with my university, it and others came together to form Commonwealth University, but each kept their own identities.

  22. I did that once. I did a different voice for every character and there was dead silence when I had finished. I was already bullied and wasn't giving anyone a reason to tease me further.

  23. I did it once. I thought I'd have fun with it, being one of the witches in Macbeth. Classmates just stared at me in confusion and teacher asked me to tone it down. I read monotoned for the rest of the time.

  24. One of my cats shares the same name with one of my nephews. Once in a while, people will comment on how I named my cat after my nephew. I jokingly correct them, "my cat came first, so my nephew was actually named after him". Of course my nephew was not named after my cat, and his parents think it's funny.

  25. This happened to us! Cat was named after kid, though. It was a joke at first-- kid had red hair, cat was red-- but ended up sticking. Caused some confusion at times! Most memorably when one relative was talking how Name (the cat) got stuck up in the tree and another relative thought it was about Name (the kid), who was maybe only three at the time.

  26. I went to Gettysburg a few summers ago & the closer we got, the more confederate flags we saw - on local cars, outside houses, on businesses. It was insane.

  27. I'm from a nearby area. There's a shit ton of Confederate flags in PA, and yes, these dipshits are all about 'muh hair-it-idge' even though they and their ancestors never lived south of the Mason-Dixon Line. Hell, many probably had ancestors that fought for the Union. And they also proclaim that they're super-patriotic Americans even though they lavish adoration over the flag of a traitorous nation that fought against the US.

  28. My favorite part is that when Virginia asked to at least borrow it for an event, the reply was basically, "Nice try, but we're not idiots. No."

  29. Should've sent a fake, then when Virginia tried to pull a stunt, tell them it was a fake. I mean, it's not likely they specified it had to be the original flag.

  30. you are right, it looks like he gets the jump off wrong, he kind of steps off to lessen the height on the move, but then doesnt clear the ladder below, could have been nasty!

  31. That could have been really scary. I'm glad they're both okay. I think the gold ring also threw them off a bit.

  32. I had a friend like this speak lies about their parents for sympathy points/ to fit in better with our group of friends. Our group of friends in middle school were comprised of lots of kids who either had damaged home lives or really strict parents that were emotionally/ physically abusive.

  33. I can only speak for myself, but my mother would always be super gracious and Bestest Mother Ever in front of other people. In private, though? Yeah that vanished. It was a Jekyll and Hyde thing. She'd absolutely bake cookies and be welcoming and I'd get so pissed that people bought her fakeness when afterwards she'd scream and throw things and say awful shit to me.

  34. god, I don't know how many times people have said "she's so nice, I wish she was my mom!" about the woman who refused to take me to the hospital after a suicide attempt unless I promised not to tell them it was attempted suicide. Because it's all about appearances and her paranoid delusions about outside scrutiny. So she's great at playing nice mom for others, but a steady diet makes ya realize the sky's plaid in her world.

  35. Yeah, it's all about appearances. I never got that close to the edge-- and I'm thankful you're here today-- but it took me years and therapy to get a handle on things. I think I finally got through to her when I made it clear that if she ever laid a hand on me again every news outlet in a fifty mile radius would have the story complete with police report. That's caused her to back off a good bit. She still does her song and dance for everyone, but leaves me out of it.

  36. The interesting point there that makes me question this post in its entirety is that triplets are never delivered vaginally. Especially not to a 15 year old. Yet she claims she tore during labor.

  37. Not necessarily. If she went into rapid labor, kiddo could have come out before she even made it to the OR. She doesn't say which child she lost, so it could be that kiddo got stuck and caused her to tear (especially if it was fast) while the other two were taken out by C-section.

  38. Jim Cornette kept calling people like Hikaru Shida and other asian wrestlers as school girls. The guy called Shida “Kenny’s fetish object”. He straight up refused to watch Shida vs Deeb (a great match btw) because Shida won. Jim is not a huge fan of women’s wrestling but he straight up despises Japanese women matches. He keeps calling them “little girls”. He keeps saying that no one likes reading subtitles and thats they don’t draw money. He says that people like Maki ITOH aren’t real wrestlers and a just cosplaying as wrestlers. Most of his fanbase agrees with him and kept harassing those women on social media. Fuck him.

  39. I daydream about the joshi kicking Cornette's bigoted ass six ways from Sunday. They'd break him into pieces.

  40. Bring in a new design but keep the lineage. Mark can keep the old belts.

  41. Yes! And so much more preferable to Frank.

  42. I'm oddly fond of Frank. He's an annoying shit, but then he makes an offhand comment about being physically abused by his father and it's like, damn, you can understand how he ended up this way. It's not an excuse in any way, but does explain some things.

  43. I mean...Dumbledore is kind of a dick. Don't get me wrong, he was also a great man but he was flawed like anyone. Harry held him on a pedestal but he was deliberately obtuse with his advice. So much time and energy was wasted because he refused to tell Harry about his plan with Snape. Instead relying on Harry arriving in time to see Voldemort betray Snape and give him his memories. That is some Dr. Strange level of things need to go just right or the whole plan falls apart.

  44. Dumbledore left Harry stay in an abusive home. Yeah, yeah, blood protection, but not once could he have popped around and told the Dursleys to not be assholes? FFS.

  45. Curious if you guys take the food to your rooms or if you eat in the kitchen/dining room on your own?

  46. Growing up, yeah. It was come get your food and go to your separate corners. I watched TV in the living room and my parents watched it in their room. We sometimes watched things together, like rented movies, but we had different interests and tastes. If we had something to say we'd do it at a different time. As an adult when I'm there or anyone else, it's usually the same way unless it's Thanksgiving or a birthday dinner. Special occasion things. Even then we don't sit at a table because my parents don't have one, we just scatter around the living room.

  47. I think I found them on my run. I play Pilgrim for exploration and while there was always a fair amount, I've got 25+ shells and I haven't even explored half the world (including new areas) yet on this run.
