  1. I don't know in what world you live, but carbonated water most definitely doesn't taste bitter. It tastes ever so slighty acidic because it is carbonized, but there is no bitterness.

  2. Maybe bitter isn’t the proper term, but it’s the word I’ve always used, but nasty also works well

  3. It's gotten to a point where because he said so much it would be too obvious if they did. Giving him alot more power in what he said

  4. Yeah it technically falls within the definition but jot the common usage

  5. So it falls within half of the definition, or more plainly speaking it fails to meet the minimum standards and as a result almost meets the definition. Though I suppose typically isn’t clear and some people would just take that as it can be ignored.

  6. i meant how the zoo will do the accounting.

  7. Not really, I’ve never been to a zoo that was at maximum capacity, and there are two major zoos (one of which is free admission) within driving distance. They survive on concessions, gift shops, and PARKING. More foot traffic is always good for them. Not to mention such a small fraction of these are going to be used it’s mainly just for the free advertising. It’s on Reddit so it’s working! Plus if you bring someone with you that didn’t go twenty years ago you’ve brought admission revenue as well, double win!

  8. You wouldn't really leave them behind, though you would just shift them. In a sense, everything and everyone is still the same it's just that you "know them from another perspective." Like the world and the people in them are not "elsewhere" they are just a bit changed.

  9. And that’s the whole point behind Rick’s nihilism, no matter what you do, even become god and fix every wrong in the universe there are still infinite others where you didn’t. To someone with the ability to move like them nothing matters at all.

  10. I'd rather replace them with perfect artificial copies that can't get infected and rot tbh.

  11. As someone with an implant, no you want real teeth with the ligaments, they do not feel the same. It’s a small thing, but you know it’s just slightly off. After the first three of four years it moves to the background, but you will always notice it.

  12. What if I hate running, and want to spend as little time doing it as possible? Will running at full tilt for half an hour do the same good as running half pace for an hour?

  13. If you can run at full sprint for half an hour I doubt you’re worried about calories 😂 but more to the point if you can sustain the speed for half an hour you’re likely in zone two or an experienced runner. Actual calories will depend on actual speeds. Difference between 4 mph and 8 mph is a little over double. That’s a brisk walk/super light jog vs a medium run/heavy jog depending on your size and level of athleticism

  14. I’m not an authority on the subject, but that’s a large disparity for gender and activity level. Are you losing much every week, because I’m averaging 1.5/2 lbs every week at 2500? If it were me I’d add more leafy greens and healthy filler foods, and trust my body a bit more. If you’re feeling exceptionally hungry maybe up your intake a bit. Small mild hunger attribute to lifestyle change. Adapt accordingly.

  15. I’ve only been IF for three days at this point. I used to years ago unintentionally mixed with a poor diet of preprocessed foods due to work schedule. I’m eating better than I ever have right now. In the past 6 months I’ve gained 30lbs eating 2200 cal on avg

  16. Something important to remember calories in/calories out is the absolute law. However, what those calories consist of dramatically changes the calories out portion. Avoid processed foods whenever you can, make meals from quality fresh ingredients when possible you will notice an uptick in energy if you change. At any moment when you have 5 minutes of down time do simple exercises to get your heart rate as high as you comfortably can. Jumping jacks, quick run in place, anything like that will help move the needle on your health. It sounds like you have a pretty low BMR (edit: rereading this sounds condescending that’s not how I mean it to be, just can’t word it better, male perspective is a bit different im used to 3k+ daily) and those things along with the healthy food will help raise your overall activity level. Small changes over time are way better than big changes for a few months. But moving from processed foods to healthier options your body is gonna miss it. Power through, and honestly if you need to raise the calories a bit, but only for healthy snacks. Grapes, apples, oranges, carrots and peanut butter. This is how I see my body composition journey and it’s helped me a lot, I can’t speak for you and your body. Just my 2¢

  17. I’m firmly in neither camp, I couldn’t care less, but the nostalgia factor from the first time you dove into the game plays a huge part. Knowing her name is Aerith doesn’t change the fact that in the original they done goofed so to me her name was Aeris and I like it more. It isn’t correct, and I am not one of these buffoons posting trying to tell others they are wrong. But I like it, and I feel the name war is silly. Regardless everyone here knows who you’re talking about no matter how you choose to spell it.

  18. It's not funny that homeless people don't get the support they need and instead have to resort to degrading themselves just for small amounts of money.

  19. While this man doesn’t have any obvious signs of lying, I can attest most pan handlers are not homeless. I both work retail management and live in a city infested with panhandlers. The majority are lying because you make good money doing nothing. When you call the police and kick them out once a week and they get into a car nicer than yours, you lose sympathy.

  20. Its almost like they let us feel like winning for a bit and bided their time.

  21. 🌎🧑‍🚀🔫👨‍🚀

  22. After 1 hour and 59 minutes on lunch, the system points you. I didn't wake back up til almost the end of the shift 🥲

  23. Unless that’s a state law, that is not how meals work. I went on a three hour bike ride during lunch not two months ago.

  24. Was anyone else worried the watermelon was gonna crack and he’d slam his chin into the table? I was, very much so.

  25. Holy crap, routine care is is 2k? That’s wild. What does that include and for how many pooch? Here a routine visit is 40 euros or so, plus vaccine or whatever it is maybe 70 in total.

  26. You need to understand pets are living and require significant care and upkeep. Cost of care will depend on quality and availability. Live in an area with low cost of living and lots of vets, cheap care. HCL and few vets, expensive. Your rates sound pretty similar to mine $70 per vet visit and $50ish per year per vaccine. However, I’d say there are 3/4 different vaccines, and they never seem to line up on any of the pets so they don’t get them all at once. You also have heartworm, flea/tick, regular parasite screenings, and dental work. How many times a year or three each thing gets varies a lot, and by how much care you want to give. There is the best care, and what I can afford right now care. I would say $1000/2000 a year is pretty standard without dental work so (900/1800€), but could you get by with less? Absolutely, bare minimum would be a rabies shot so like $100. Would I recommend it? No. Could you get by on it in most places? Sure.

  27. I’m aware of these things, I am a cat owner since forever. I am more surprised by the American cost compared to where I live.

  28. That’s what I think you’re missing, your rates sound pretty similar to mine, at least from what you’ve posted. I just think you’re underselling how much more maintenance dogs take than cats. Several other Europeans have chimed in around the 1k mark (euro/USD are pretty close). We had a few cats a lifetime ago. I think she got rabies once every 3 years, and pretty much zero else until she needed to be put down. Dogs are an order of magnitude more up keep in terms of preventative and reactive care. Being outside, being actively social, and just being far derpier in general, they require much more preventative care. Cats are like alarm clocks, set and forget. Dogs like a vehicle maintenance a few cheap visits and year, plus the unexpected emergencies. Just my two cents, at least in the states, we have hoards of people who either give their animals subpar care or just relinquish them to shelters because costs are higher than expected. Just trying to impart what I’ve learned over a lifetime with pets of various kinds, because there isn’t much in the way of easy information out there on the subject.

  29. My wife is like the Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde if this trope.

  30. It’s hilarious if he thinks this affects the individual for smashing all the shit at her place of work. All he did was destroy a bunch of company property that they’ll not bat at an eye replacing.

  31. Top sheets are the worst, never have never will, but neither do my parents. So maybe, hear me out guys us and Gen z should just stop engaging with the obvious generational warfare the media keeps shoving down our throats, because it’s all rage bait. It’s a preference and has absolutely nothing to do with generations 😂

  32. And now you asking what this is about makes me feel old

  33. I think it’s more important how it’s read 867 is different that 8-6-7-5-3-0-9 I make that reference all the time and I struggled, I was thinking more along the lines of monsters inc core 2319 but couldn’t remember without looking it up

  34. I don’t eat anything else soo uuh I guess just the one from the Meat I eat.

  35. It’s important to note carbs (bread, pasta, sugars) and salts will cause you to retain water, this can dramatically change your weight quickly, but it isn’t permanent. A diet heavy in carbs will have ups and downs naturally.

  36. You’ll understand after your first child

  37. Yeah i hear all of that but for those that can do 50 push ups or so, can they still grow at the rep range

  38. Biology and nature in general doesn’t have hard cut offs, at that point yes you will still grow muscle, but your doing more for your muscular endurance than hypertrophy. You have to remember muscle size is only 1 of the various factors your body considers when it comes to functionality.

  39. I read it. In fear bc this is the lifestyle I was hoping to ride out until the good lord calls me home. Doesn’t make sense. What money backs this research?

  40. So one single study that contradicts hundreds of other studies (of significantly higher quality and backed by far less biased sources) showing that time restricted feeding is beneficial to health especially when paired with wholesome nutrient dense diets is going to deter you? Any study can lead to any conclusion if the scientific process is used poorly. When one study is a massive outlier I would recommend taking it with a grain of salt. Especially if it hasn’t been peer reviewed or replications don’t yield the same results.

  41. Read the study, doesn’t look very well controlled, and their abstract doesn’t really match their results. Considering this is the first study I’ve read that makes this assertion and I’ve read quite a few (peer reviewed as well) studies that state the exact opposite, I’d say they were cherry picking stats to match their personal bias. But who knows, the beauty of science is that more research and more time will yield better results.

  42. Nazis are easy to rattle out. Go anywhere and yell "HITLER SUCKS", they'll swarm you like horseflies to a dumpster full of horsedung.

  43. Got one even better for yeah, wear one of those fuck trump hats in maga red, they come up to you all excited thinking they are in a safe space just to see the hat up close and they die inside for a second then get hyper aggressive 😂 poor lead poisoned snowflakes

  44. Dog, you can literally buy the hat on Amazon, but hey if it helps you sleep at night sure, keyboard warrior caught lying

  45. Yeah, I’m going with this is my favorite version on both of the originals
