  1. The ladies who got hit I saw getting his license plate (a temp tag) and then called the police with another Good Samaritan who helped them out in his car as the other scum bag took off from the parking lot then got on the high way full speed

  2. "We" are one of Elliot's alters. The last scene of the show was meant to represent us sitting down with all of the other alters to watch the real Elliot live out the rest of his life.

  3. That scene represents MM giving up his control, and all of the alters reintegrating into the whole.

  4. That’s so sad. He definitely would have been part of healing sessions, so it’s possible he didn’t have his medication with him on purpose. Hard to know, though.

  5. That was my concern about not telling him... he would have come to me later and been angry that I hadn't warned him. I couldn't do that to him

  6. At my super small Christian school I was taught that both grocery store club cards and the electronic transponder thingy for toll roads were the mark of the beast and we shouldn’t use them.

  7. I did some schools and was on staff for a little while and this is exactly how it was.

  8. It’s really weird to look back and see how orchestrated and manipulated everything was.

  9. As long the organisation's make a profit of the donated blood I don't see why the donors shouldn't. In the city I live in you can donate blood for 25€ plasma for 20€ and platelets for 50€. Also if you donate for the first time you get no money because the first time you donate you get your blood tested and the you get registered as a blood donor. I think that is fair.

  10. What I don't like tho is some company selling of my blood for expensive af money and just giving me a pat on the back as a thanks while they keep all the profits. I want my blood donated in a way you don't need to be wealthy to profit from it

  11. Well, there are a ton of expenses involved in blood donation. They have to cover the overhead of the building, staff, equipment, and supplies. (Each set of tubing for blood donation is at least $25, the tubing and bags for each apheresis donation is $200+.)

  12. She’s speaking to the unintelligent and the uneducated. Anyone else doesn’t believe her stupid shit.

  13. These are the same fucking people who think “if there’s global warming why does it still snow?” is a legit argument.

  14. I think it was because it aired on USA network and not Netflix or HBO

  15. This is a big part of it, IMO. Most of the target audience had cut the cord by the time the show came out. They didn't have cable! It may have had a bigger viewer base if it had come out on a streaming platform.

  16. Because when they met at the end of season one, he told her his name was Ollie.

  17. The show was never meant to be a "gritty hacker movie". It was always about the character Elliot and his story, not about hacktivism or the revolution. That wasn't the point of the show. Elliot's journey was the point.

  18. Please tag your post with a spoiler tag- you give away big plot points, and that's against the sub rules. Also- please make sure you don't put spoilers in your title like you did with this one. That will get your post pulled down.

  19. Stop using those 3rd party booking sites. If anything at all goes wrong during your stay the hotel staff usually has their hands tied. They can’t refund anything, they can’t make changes to your booking, they can’t upgrade you… the only thing they can really do is cancel your booking entirely.

  20. Nah, the military changes people. Sorry you're too first hand to see what it does to your personality

  21. As I was reading this thread I (non-military) can't help but wonder if this training is part of why it's so hard for veterans to get help when they return.

  22. Imo that's out of line, you're def not being dramatic. Not the pharmacy techs, or the pharmacist for that matter, place to be giving any medical advice.

  23. I would absolutely say something to the pharmacist. That's highly inappropriate and outside her scope of practice. She does not have the credentials to be saying that. You might be smart enough to disregard what she says, but what if she convinces someone else to go off of a critical medication?

  24. the show is VERY rewatchable. one of the most rewatchable shows that i've found. start over from the top and i guarantee you will find more, deeper levels. especially when you know how it all works out, events and ideas are planted right from the start that have VERY different meaning when you know how it all works out in the end.

  25. Oh, for sure. I started watching the show when S1 was still airing, and I’ve been rewatching pretty much since then. 😂

  26. As Elliot viewed us as someone inside his head , I let him in mine. I miss it

  27. I think that part of it- us being in his head and, ultimately, being “part” of him- is so unique and part of what makes it so personal.

  28. Do they do a finger stick? If my hands aren’t warm I will fail. I always rub my hands together for a few minutes before my stick, and it can make the difference between a pass and a fail for me.

  29. Sounds like a script and a series written by people who 'know a friend' who had it and 'they did okay' instead of talking to people who actually have severe ADHD to moderate ADHD, and with different versions/types.

  30. When people give me shit for taking meds I point out that I had SEVERAL car accidents- all before I was medicated. Once I got on meds- no accidents in the past 15 years.

  31. Moved here this summer from Oklahoma and everything related to elections/voting is such a breath of fresh air. Registering to vote was a piece of cake and when I moved from a rental to my new house my voter registration was automatically updated when I updated the address on my drivers license. Then I stared getting the booklets in the Mail explaining all the ballot measures in non-partisan plain English. Genuinely looking forward to voting this election cycle.

  32. Welcome! It’s really cool. I’ve lived in CO for over 20 years so I didn’t realize other states don’t have what we have. Enjoy!

  33. Not normal- but it may have been bc you were a minor and the event was at school. They just might have had stricter rules in that situation. I can kind of understand them not wanting to deal with a possible (though very unlikely) health issue in that situation.

  34. It’s brainwashing. You’re saying your story over and over- and getting positive reinforcement for it. You get a dopamine kickback for sharing something personal and having it be accepted.
