I remember living on campus drove me nuts the last semester i lived there. I wanted more space & was incredibly sick of dining halls.
Freddy is also good for the flexibility of shorter leases and no problems dropping out of a contract for a valid co-op. Roommate placement still sucks in terms of requests, but definitely saving money in general, and worst comes to worst your own room has a lock on it.
Do you worry the same way about your pillow? Mattress? Maybe the chair or sofa you sat on while sick? Because the plush is no different. If the rest of your house is ok, so will be the toy. As the person above me said... Bacteria and viruses need an organic host to live and thrive.
I think it depends on what parts you don’t like. I hate early game combat because battles are much more swingy while you just have Ness. The second party member also gives you a lot more options in battle. Once you get your second party member it gets a lot easier to balance.
To add to this monster grapple also functions a bit differently from player grapple. Most monsters who have a grapple mechanic will instantly grapple players on hit.
One thing that hasn't been mentioned is that the normal gem power was reduced from a 50% boost to a 30% boost, so yeah it's relegated to gimmicky explosion/unburden+fake out sets before terrain seeds.
Hydro Pump and Fire Blast are higher accuracy (80% and 85% iirc), makes a noticeable difference over time. Again with the distributions, surf is great (as well as Scald previously), and flamethrower and thunderbolt are both solid with higher BP than aura sphere so the risky moves simply aren’t used as much.

Also as a person (not just a DM) you are 100% allowed to say “I do not feel comfortable doing this with you/to you even though you want me to.”
