Lol, this reminds me that a few days ago I got bored and used AI to generate pics of Meghan as a Death Eater from Harry Potter. Nerdy I know but anyway...
I like his character. He’s interesting because he has to dig really, really deep down and come out on the other side of himself to be a brave person. It’s as if the harsh training from his grandfather drove out this alter ego.
I think context is everything. If someone who lacks focus, perhaps has a short attention span, is inclined to act without thinking and is a thrill seeker is put in a context where those qualities are harnessed and properly channelled then they become assets. If however they are encouraged to turn inwards and to think their own innate shortcomings are made worse by those trying to help them, which is what Meghan did to Harry, then the bad will outweigh the good. He was always a bit jealous of William you can see it in early interviews but William was able to turn it into affectionate teasing. Reading those comments really brings home how far he has fallen. Meghan must have read up on stuff like this and thought they could never lose such popularity. Again, context is all and he's drowning in a different sea now, he's lost the defining context that made him what he once was.
I‘m a little embarrassed to say I was absolutely a Harry fan growing up. We’re about the same age. He always seemed like the fun, carefree brother. Plus he didn’t have to be king. That’s a win, win to me (as an American). And as I got older and more mature, I started to wonder why he wasn’t really maturing as much as I’d expect but I was still giving him the benefit of the doubt. Then he found a Canadian to marry (I actually thought she was Canadian…because I wasn’t paying that much attention and just read she’d moved from Canada and was on some Canadian show I’d never heard of) and I was happy for him. I was happy he’d have some normalcy in his life that he seemed to always want, like William has with Catherine and her family. And wow, did I misjudge that situation.
Agree! Some of the comments compared him unfavourably to William. William was seen as a bit of a stick in the mud - always serious, seldom smiling. Catherine was in the background.
From what I understand it wasn’t Samantha’s parents. It was her ex-husbands parents and they adopted her. It’s possible that she wasn’t always on best terms with her husbands parents? I’m not sure this is just bits and pieces I’ve read but I know she was working, going to school with MS, so if she had kept the kids she wouldn’t have been able to go to school, they would have been poor and they would have spent majority of their time with a babysitter so she could work. So her and her ex choose a better life for the kids. They knew the grandparents loved them, were financially stable and wanted to take care of them. So they allowed the grandparents to adopt them. One thing is clear, the only reason Harry’s wife befriended Ashley was to triangulate.
Didn’t Thomas Markle senior do the same to Sam and Thomas jr. he and his wife were very young and Thomas went to la to work and his ex wife wasn’t providing for them well so they were raised by Thomas seniors parents while he earned money in la till they came to live with him as teens? Something like that in revenge I think, anybody with better memory please correct me.
Yup! The parallels are there. Sam and Tom Jr were raised by Grandma Loveless (Tom Sr’s mother in law) and sometimes their mom. Sam said mom smacked her around so she chose to live with her dad.

I reported the comment and it was taken down. Just last week I got a formal warning from reddit for abusing the reporting tool. I almost made a post about it because what in the world?! So unfair? In all my years in the platform that's never happened to me before, so it makes you wonder who works for this platform ?
Indeed. They keep a strict eye on us. Thats why there are so many rules on body shaming etc which the sugar’s indulge in regularly. We can’t allow ourselves to be shut out due to some lame excuse
If they weren't paid bots they wouldn't descend as such. They won't stop until you take your post down. I experienced this when I posted a comment reply on an Instagram post having her wearing this particular brand I adore. I had to mute my comment because they would not stop. It was insanity. But I didn't take it down. I was disappointed that one of my favorite brands was still using her as ambassador and I was going to say something about it.
Yes. I think he probably does feel entitled but he also has learned to keep it in check knowing he has responsibilities. I don’t think it’s possible not to feel entitled in such an environment, being the VIP amongst VIPs. Meg lived there briefly and came out extremely self centred, even more so than her baseline.
I don’t believe King Charles is a narcissist. All of us have some “narcissistic” qualities. A little “egotism” is actually healthy. It all comes down to balance. If we cannot put ourselves first in some situations, there is something wrong. If we put ourselves first in all situations it is equally wrong.
