I remember you tube before the algorithms ruined everything. When you searched a topic, you got all relevant content from both sides of the argument. The videos it suggested were both relevant and interesting. By clicking on the suggested videos, you'd sometimes get on entirely new and fascinating subjects, not always sure how you got there. Now the algorithm keeps pushing you back to your feed and preconceived biases. I think that social media algorithms are a major factor for the inceasing division in society today

TikTok is the worst for this as it's algorithm is much better at giving you exactly what you asked for than even YouTube's.
