Is there any place where I can find this info? Searching "Transformco new data center" only shows the Hoffman Estates HQ being bought out from last year.
Yes. If Target or another retailer offered to buy their lease at the price that they wanted, Kmart would close in less than a month. The only reason why the Miami store is still open is because their lease requires them to be there. Transformco has just a few people working in their retail division, the rest work in real estate.
First off, Target could never open a store in Bridgehampton due to the various NIMBY laws there. Since the early 2000s, Bridgehampton has become infamous for having some of the strongest NIMBY laws in the country.
It’s mostly accurate. Hi I’m from this town pretty much. About 10 mins away. Most of that is accurate. This store did away with the games around 10 years ago. There once was a GameStop in this shopping center which closed down in around 2018.
From that current map electronics once had games. Now the section is just used to cycle out whatever knockoff stuff they have left. Some SD cards, stuff like that. Something that’s not shown is in the pantry they actually have frozen food. TV dinners, pizzas, junk food. The “seasonal” section has been the same season for 5 years lol. Mostly fall equipment that occasionally gets cycled out with grills, and blow up pools, out door furniture. A mash of everything. The store is very empty, lots of space. Lots of outlines from things being placed there for years on end without ever being moved. It’s just a dying store. Quite honestly it blows my mind how this place stays afloat. The Hamptons aren’t really home to major stores like Target, Walmart, and Best Buy. Need to drive around 40 minutes or so, even longer in the summer. I really wish this place would become a target. Most locals I speak to want that. I guess it being the last one standing now grants it some notoriety for a local tourist attraction. Funny and odd at the same time that a place I grew up next to has gained that much popularity. Seeing YouTube videos about it is so funny.
It's now a smoke shop. But the Pizza Hut sign is still there.
As of when? I’m just curious, that’s all… 🤔

Why would a news outlet bother to report on it in 2024? Nobody cares about Transformco anymore, and as a result, news outlets could care less!
I mean, I'm just asking where you got your info from. 🤷♂️

Is it just the sun or did they really replace the S housing with a white generic insert?

I have seen zero indicators of any desire to do anything with Kmart in the US
Are you sure about that?

From 2,000+ Kmart stores to just a single Kmart store in Bridgehampton, New York!
