  1. I did a voluntary year abroad and I actually paid less in tuition! A year in Canada cost me £1500 in tuition and it was part of my sfe loan. It was really good value!

  2. Same for be but America. Also, if you do a year abroad now you can qualify for Turing Scheme, which is a grant rather than a loan, so you don't pay it back :)

  3. Studied in both the US and the UK at Bachelor's level - can highly say that my experience in the US has been much better, more livelier, more fun, and very fun to experience the American college system.

  4. How many new grad jobs or internships have you applied to?

  5. You'll be fine, can't change anything now anyways - don't stress

  6. I looked into this a while ago. One viable option seemed to be to take self-paced online Calculus courses from US colleges, which are available for credit. This would cost you money out of pocket though. For example

  7. Become a quant or software engineer for a prop trading firm like Jane Street etc. and you can use ur programming skills in London to make ridiculous money. Unfortunately I’m not clever enough for that

  8. The same if you put confidence level as medium?

  9. 3 rounds of interview for an intern? Wtf …

  10. Some positions out there pay close to €200k pro rata, extra interviews are needed.

  11. When you come back to the uk do you plan on moving to the us? Thank you! (Reason I’m asking all these questions is I want to move to the us straight after bsc here)

  12. I think this is a question of cost rather than how often. I'd have a kebab meal every week or so but that was like £5, with maybe a meal deal on top, or the KFC student meal, so like per total about £10-15 at most a week on takeaways, but my food shop was around £25 a week so it counter acted like that

  13. Patrick Bamford (Leeds United football player) got into Harvard College as an international applicant with 3 B's and a C on his A-Levels.

  14. Because parents and teachers have expectations - when I moved to the UK, my mum pressured me to do olympiads, so she came into schools and asked the teachers about olympiads, and they didn't know what those were. It's all expectations left over.

  15. To me, this looks like "cafeteria-grade cheese grits" not mamaliga. Grits are... similar but more runny. Popular in the southern parts of the US.

  16. Could very well be - it was listed as polenta and tasted like an undercooked watery polenta, but then again I don't know what grits tastes like.

  17. congrats. te superi daca iti dau un dm si isi cer niste sfaturi?

  18. I was unable to get an internship in SWE during my freshman or sophomore year and struggled this semester too. Last summer I got an internship in Investment Management, and I have just received an offer for Equity Research for next summer. All in all, sure, not everyone may get CS jobs, but **almost everyone who tries** will be able to still get a job in a great respected field.

  19. Se cam incalzeste acum, m1 8gb, il am de 2 ani.

  20. With a backpack on it was horrible, but thankfully it wasn't so hot

  21. What shoes do you wear for days like this? I have Ecco sneakers that I can maybe max out 25K city/concrete steps in a day before my feet are killing me.

  22. I have some $50 Adidas sneakers I got from footlocker honestly

  23. Five Guys e ok in afara, cam la fel ca alte restaurante.

  24. E ok daca il compari cu Shake Shack sau cu un restaurant propriu, nu cu un fast food. Am dat mai putin pe un meniu burger la Gordon Ramsay
