Learning DAR is the first step. I managed to learn it pretty easily, so you can hit me up if you want and ill let you know the steps i took to learn it
I was stuck in d1 div 4 for a bit so i just started using in game chat to tell ppl that its my rank up game be nice. 2 people agreed in a row and it was enough to get me to d2.
Thats what i did and it worked for me. I would also suggest just flying upside down and flying with the back of the car on each side. I was spending 2 hours each day and got it down in 2 months
I think if i was you i would be focusing most of my time to grind freeplay and improve mechanics, but i mean really improve them, to the point of being good at resets and things like that, i see that as the difference between you and a gc, i cant reslly point the positional mistakes because i am not really good at position myself either, anyways what im saying is that if you are mechanic enough you can play like a monkey up to gc (if you are not using directional air roll take the time to learn it, trust me it will be worth it)
Looks like youre playing 2nd man and 3rd man from a 3s positioning perspective. Lacking the aggression a first man should have to deny space and plays for the opponent.
It teaches you how to dribble without relying on the white circle underneath. For slopes you have to rely on feel as the white circle is no longer an accurate method to keep the ball on top of car. And practicing for feel holds two advantages
Tap brake for like half a second before jumping off the ball. And dont be directly under the ball. You should be a little bit behind it so that after the reset the ball pops infront of you, and not above you.
Is it really necessary? In the video, you can see that sometimes I still manage to recover the reset, the problem is that I'm not hitting the ball hard enough, right?
Yes the problem is that youre not hitting the ball hard enough. And the solution to that is to create space between yourself and the ball. So that you are boosting to chase after the ball.
I was in c1 for 20 days. I had spend most of my time in diamond training mechanics so by the time i got to champ i was more consistent and faster with my touches than the average opponent. So if thats the case for you right now thats good otherwise work on that for now.
I don't know about the file location, but it looks like one of the rocket league speedrun discord mods has a google drive link for the air dribble hoops map. I guess posting the link here is ok?
Really in my opinion it is just learning to do stuff fast and without wasting a lot of boost. Get really good at the quick ground plays. Flicks hooks, bounces. Add ground to air dribble or pop and bump. For variety. But really just try to get so good at those that you don’t worry about missing and don’t have to think about what you need to do while doing them.
C3 is very slow. Not necessarily in player speed, everyone knows how to speedflip and spams it like a monkey on adderall, but decision making takes a while, shots are like throwing a ball of paper, etc. Also, consistency has to be improved to get gc
My man said c3 is very clow, which im sure is very correct for you. But good lord do i sweat my neurons hypercalculating whats happening down in c2 with each play
I made a training pack if you want to try it. It has shots that are for practicing where you are getting the reset on the ball and having very little time to follow up with a hit after the reset. After it has some normal set ups.
Learn how to fly without using air roll. Both upright and upside down. Then start practicing air dribbles without air roll. Once you can make small adjustments to your car in the air, start learning a directional air roll. Practice no air roll air dribbles alongside. Once youve become good at air dribbles use air roll to make slight adjustments to turn the ball in the air
Exactly what I was looking for! Thanks! I’m pretty proficient in flying as rings maps are one of my favorites. Are there any specific training packs people prefer?
In the top left corner, the guy with 4 goals says hes gc1. I asked him that cuz he was doing way better than an average c2. Im not mad about it as much as i am exhausted with playing people who shouldnt be in such lower ranks
Ground to air dribbles and redirects imo. They force you to do super accurate and minute adjustments. For air dribbles focus on keeping the ball high in the air instead of trying to net it in
It didnt take me long to get to diamond once i got comfortable with driving around using ball cam. Maybe 150-200 hours. I was stuck in diamond for a long while however and got to champ only after a 1000 hours

Im c3 in 2s and d1 in 3s. Commenting to see what advice you get xD

Comicallybad
Still lose to me. L
Diamond 2 in 2s. Just started grinding neon rings instead of ranked or freeplay. Took a few months to get it down
Ofcourse middle east is demo focused xDD

Im going to try that. Im 5 wins away c3 and i cant contain my nerves during matches. Just gonna grind freeplay and become a mechanical monkey
Same situation as you, leaving a comment so i can look at other peoples tips for you

Yea that probably explains it, I do usually play more 3s than 2s each season ( even though I still suck at 3s)
Well u did manage a 12 win streak, better than most others xD

Huh
Im also champ 2 but i could give some pointers with those things
Flakes or apparently jack

Not think about it while doing them. GC is way farther than i had thought xD
I've apparently gathered a goldmine of GC wisdom here. I hope it helps the others who come across this as well

Can double resets be practiced on the setups in this pack
The first shots cannot but the later shots are more traditional set-ups and I don't see why you couldn't.
Aight ill try it out

This isn't really a matchmaking problem tho. Match making worked pretty well this game. Smurfing problem maybe
You right, technically. I meant it more like how my matches are almost made against a smurf boosting their friend
Who is getting boosted they both had 700 points and are about the same mmr as you. Genuinely don’t understand what you’re mad at.
In the top left corner, the guy with 4 goals says hes gc1. I asked him that cuz he was doing way better than an average c2. Im not mad about it as much as i am exhausted with playing people who shouldnt be in such lower ranks
Well I've been playing since at least season 3, but I only made it to platinum in season 8. Other than that I've been gold
Ive been playing since season 4 and im champ. Turn on ball cam

It gives me an estimated time of 1 minute, and im like okay great lets hit up some training packs. As soon as i load in, i'll start joining a match
