  1. RE: societal norms and what life is supposed to look like

  2. I just want to clarify that I'm glad that ND kids these days seem to have a bit more support at school. No gatekeeping here. I wouldn't wish my experience on anyone.

  3. I learned almost nothing in school. I can't learn that way. I learn best by example in the field. Something that ties theory to real life experience. Otherwise, it's just the Charlie Brown teacher thing going through my ears. muffled trombones

  4. Anecdotally, I'm going through it now, also because of life stress and burnout. I've been told by people I trust to just let myself rest when possible, without acting on the urge to force anything to happen. So that's the advice I'll pass on.

  5. Was an accountant. Would 100% not recommend for autistic folks. Office politics are very real and pervasive throughout every aspect of the job. Heavy masking and "playing the game" are pretty much necessities.

  6. I get something similar after being on a treadmill for a while

  7. Lovely. Tender and smoky. I thought the juice felt thick and syrupy but in a good way. I like them in place of lox, on a bagel with cream cheese and capers.

  8. You know how socks are kind of pointy at each end, and when they're sitting properly, the points encase your toes?

  9. To expand a little further on all this...

  10. Not to mention a ton of apartments being built recently + even more in the pipeline. It seems like every viable empty lot is being filled with apartments.

  11. Great shot! I won their burger eating contest there once upon a time.

  12. Green Corner. One in Chandler & one in Mesa. I think it fits the description of fast casual.

  13. I'd put the Chandler terminus at Tumbleweed Park since it's already a terminus for a Rapid bus to the capital, and also because there's a decent amount of parking for people who want to park-and-ride.

  14. It doesn't need to be. I'd like to see more private investment.

  15. You are so sweet thank you. I like volleyball, my two doxies, and going to concerts! I am thinking of joining an adult volleyball league to meet some new friends

  17. Try treating them as an ingredient instead if you want to try them. Google "sardine pasta" and find a recipe that sounds like something you might like and try it.

  18. I really think this sub should be called canned fish instead of canned sardines so people don't get the wrong idea.

  19. X2 for Crocs. I believe they make models without holes in the upper for food service workers etc. Super comfy, easy to clean.

  20. Being a student of history helps. I'm talking economic, cultural etc.

  21. I've been searching for years and haven't found it. The closest thing I've found is the cheese-filled bread boats at Shamy Market in Mesa. But there aren't any eggs in it.

  22. I think I saw a recent post on this sub about rents dropping for luxury condos as well.

  23. Don't pay a premium for this experience. Just do it at home. If you're from the Midwest, you can pair them with a nice casserole.

  24. I feel like things have really gone to shit since Covid… a mix of people generally being distrustful of their neighbors(aka anybody but themselves) and the huge populace moving here when their states/cities were shut down. Shit is really wild.. hyper aggressive drivers, quick tempers… just bad

  25. This. And it's not limited to Arizona. Things just feel different now.

  26. Plain San Pellegrino (sparkling water) is sold in cans
