In simple terms the brokers are supposed to assess the risk of the HF’s position. So as long as suits can show enough collateral (stocks, bonds, etc) the brokers assume they can cover. If risk goes or up or collateral goes down… then they get forced to close.
The complicated part is that SHF are experts at avoiding a margin call. Its not clear what share price would force their hand.
I think these are big questions that are pretty tough to answer. Closing above 150 would definitely increase volume for next Monday, but I'm not sure how that affects the availability of shares to borrow.

It assumes that the average shares seen in Reddit-reported DRS posts represents that average shares in all the ComputerShare accounts (the number of which is speculative as well). However, it is more likely that people are posting their DRS accounts when they have bigger positions. Individuals with only a few shares are probably not too concerned with adding them to the DRS bot, and thus the average shares per account is probably half what is estimated here.

Also, I just noticed that computershared.net lists insider shares as 14,712,003 shares; but Fintel says its actually 15,963,714 shares. I don't know if there's a reason for the difference. If not, that's another 1.6% of the float locked away. Pretty substantial difference.
Just spoke to Fidelity rep. Apparently, a lot of people are holding GME with margin accounts. If anyone wants to make sure their shares aren't being lent out, they need to contact Fidelity and make sure their account is a cash account. Not financial advice.
