The carafe isn’t sealed, so if you aren’t careful while washing water gets in and you always have condensation on the inside, which is annoying. Other than that it’s fantastic! Despite the filters being a little pricey.
The Goodwill on Grand usually has some, but stuff gets picked over pretty quick there. If you can make it during the week, ideally in the early afternoon or just after they open you will probably have better luck.
Plentiful warm lakes to swim in…and only a few minutes away, having a huge vibrant city like Chicago a couple hours away, ice skating in lakes and ponds…nearby, wonderful x-c ski trials in winter within minutes (don’t need to drive 70 min each way to teacup lake), isolated cabins on a lake in the north woods, autumn/fall colors, consistent snow nearby, small town festivals and parades everywhere in the summer, driftless area (specifically cycling in it), ice fishing (not my thing), if you have a family- well funded playgrounds, public swimming pools, schools, parks, libraries, etc.
Well funded playgrounds/schools/etc? Must not be from Wisconsin (my home state). They’re still dealing with entrenched/gerrymandered GOP who send fake electors to “certify” elections and think marijuana is the same as heroin.
Long winded posts defending the Midwest… I’m not arguing with you about having family there or nostalgia, was just saying that compared to elsewhere (not Oregon or even in the states anywhere specifically) the midwest kind of sucks as a place to live.
