  1. It's a Thank You video from TOHO (on of the producer companies behind the show).

  2. I absolutely love the focus on the flowers around 1:32 (alongside the beautiful music that plays).

  3. Absolutely, the art is so beautiful, and sometimes it's easy to miss these still shots in the anime.

  4. Looking for more stuff like Sulphur Aeon. I like all their albums but my favorite is Gateway to the Antisphere.

  5. anyone know some good steampunk or Victorian themed bands? don't really care about sub-genre

  6. I've been looking for stuff that's like Orchid for a long while because I just really, really hate the rest of Opeth's catalogue.

  7. Pretty sure you can find most of what you are looking for in old In Flames

  8. Really digging bands with a Neoclassical element to their sound. Any recommendations similar to Symphony X, Children of Bodom or Exmortus?

  9. This should be interesting, being the first time we repeat a genre-specific vote (i think).

  10. Mostly because the mods got busy with other things in real life when the genre votes started to die down. When we discussed starting them up again, we decided it would be more fun/interesting to just restart them as plenty of people likely did not participate in the beginning.

  11. Are there cool 80s power metal releases that aren't from Germany or US? I only know Adramelch.

  12. Newbie here looking to broaden my horizons. I have somewhat specific tastes that lie somewhere along the boundaries of melodic/symphonic/progressive (not to big on synth/electronic stuff) + speedcore (I like high bpm stuff). I like a decent balance of clean vocals/scream if possible (or at least vocal variety).

  13. posted late in the last rec thread so I'm gonna ask again here.

  14. Not exactly Death/Doom or brutal, but Opeth's first two records (Orchid and Morningrise) have a very prominent fretless bass. Worth checking.

  15. I just saw an article of full on metal drama about Tomb Mold not dressing metal enough. (came with an example of a Akercoke photoshoot dressed like british professors (well one looked like a fancy biker that wakes up early for day trading).

  16. I don't know, but probably not. I think I look like " yeah, they didn't spend more than 3 minutes choosing what to wear".

  17. Looking for Blacken Death Metal album recommendations. List of shit I love Morbid Angel, Deicide, Hate Eternal, Immolation, Incantation and Vital Remains. Looking for DEPRAVED, Twisted, Grotesque and Warped Blacken Metal SICK SHIT ONLY.💀👹 NO melodic or power metal. We've been warned. PS Bands from last 20 years only.

  18. IMO, for Metalcore and Deathcore, it is a line that needs to be drawn from a cataloguing/organizing stuff point of view.

  19. Ya, of course I totally agree with everything you said.

  20. The pretentious fans and artists who think metal is an elevated art form and that it's comparable to "classical" music.
