  1. It shows you all the little flaws in an otherwise "perfect plan", people can extrapolate from there. It's also possible those shows spark the idea to kill your spouse in more people's heads. We all know how suicide rates go up when suicide is so much as mentioned in the media.

  2. It does not show you all the little flaws, usually just the big ones. And shows like Forensic Files would often intentionally not name a potential murder mechanism/device/chemical so it would not be reproduced.

  3. You must not watch anything crime related because if you did you'd know that spouses/partners do not make up much of that 50%.

  4. On forensic files it was quite often the spouse/romantic partner

  5. Sure let me just borrow a fucking cruise ship to sink for this experiment

  6. I wish I was as lucky as you are, because today you get to learn about the scalability of math and physics

  7. You sure we watched the same video? Because the scales used were not at all proportional, which would be inherently necessary to math and physics.

  8. I grew up in NOVA and live in Cap Hill now. VA is safer but it’s boring and not as walkable. I lived in Arlington after college and it was great but I felt like I outgrew it.

  9. It pretty much is binary; you can just have more of a tolerance for one over the other. And I am not conservative.

  10. Are you guys really using chat gpt to write reddit comments for you now too?

  11. I agree that he did it to appease Gale, but at the same time it wouldn't make much sense for Gus to then get rid of Gale after Walter said he couldn't work with him.

  12. She was neglected in every season tbh, she gets far less development than the rest of the group. Even just looking at the women, it’s sad how much more fleshed out Britta and Annie are than Shirley.

  13. It's funny and or sad because Gas Leak Year/Season 4 definitely gave Shirley, Pierce, and Chang the most character development

  14. Okay I guess I meant after season 1, which was probably where all those characters had the most character development to begin with (Shirley likely the least amount)

  15. Why not just make a customer megathread instead of making an employee only subreddit

  16. Here is mine as well, it would be much appreciated as I bought a Breeo system for my mom who loves it and was interested in some accessories

  17. Here is mine as well, it would be much appreciated as I bought a Breeo system for my mom who loves it and was interested in some accessories

  18. Watching the old footage closely, the ship starts falling as the cells burst into flame (losing lift). The main passenger compartments (behind the row of windows below and behind the name "Hindenburg") are pretty close to the ground by the time the flames reach them. The survivors were fortunate, of course, but the dynamics of the whole thing worked in their favor, unlike the passengers and crew of other airships that burned or disintegrated at higher altitudes.

  19. Also for those unaware, the Hindenburg footage you are used to seeing was sped up for dramatic effect. So it fell and broke apart much slower than you might remember.

  20. Can you guys swooning tell me what movies you found her attractive in, I just googled her and she looks like a chav mum with teeth that can chew through titanium

  21. That’s 10x more than I thought. How’d he make so much? Syndication?

  22. Before even talking about Price is Right, Drew Carey having two shows running concurrently on ABC has that effect. Drew Carey Show is indeed in syndication (though definitely less than if it were on streaming if the music rights were figured out) and as an OG producer he gets money from the new and old US Whose Line Is It Anyway.

  23. Those two were massive successes and very profitable for Drew Carey, and that was even before Price is Right.

  24. It wasn't a shell found at random. The shells were found alongside an interesting skeleton and collected for that reason.

  25. Nixon is an odd president to learn about, at first everyone knows Watergate and he’s a bad guy, then you learn he normalized relations with China, created the EPA, OSHA, saved passenger rail. And you’re like oh he is actually a flawed good guy. Then you keep learning about Kissinger, racial policies, Nixon single handedly prolonging Vietnam by 5 years and you’re like oh man he’s a demon

  26. He should have had a chance at Batman or Superman. Would love an Elseworlds take with him at the lead.

  27. I think he’d work well for a Kingdom Come Superman

  28. Trump gave people more pandemic money than Biden did and that is what most people who hate both of them anyway are going to remember, which is to say the working class.

  29. Plus Biden lied/gaslit about the amount of COVID stimulus he was giving out and Trump stuck to his word about it

  30. Yeah, I think this has a lot more to do with COVID than any specific policy in general. And how everything has sucked really since then

  31. Or the fact that inflation has wiped out most gains for the individuals since 2020, despite corporations typically making out like bandits, and prices for everything have gone up without a necessary salary raise in response

  32. That's just a problem with the canon material that Disney is willing to show.

  33. The meme used to be that in the Disney canon everyone was either a Skywalker or a Solo, now you just throw a Palpatine in and all bases are covered

  34. Yeah, Community was never exactly grounded and realistic, but it definitely did start ramping up the absurdity as time went on.

  35. We’re gonna have more fun and be less weird than the first two years combined

  36. No, bitrate can just often easily hit a point of diminishing returns where it’s less noticeable. But low bitrate is definitely more noticeable than high.

  37. Was this movie good? I remember seeing it when it came out and enjoying it  but I was 14 so my taste was highly questionable.

  38. If you watch closely at the seven-minute mark in Snake Eyes, you'll notice the moment where an alien arm could have come up and...

  39. I’m just repeating what my professional witness, lawyer, forensic scientist, acquaintance told me. I am none of those things, and do not profess to know anything about DNA evidence.

  40. If your "professional witness and forensic scientist" acquaintance told you DNA evidence and polygraph tests are comparable then they know literally nothing and are not a credible witness.

  41. Maybe you’re right! I should listen to you then! Hey, maybe you’re them! I could never know! 😃

  42. I think you and them should try reading a book, personally.

  43. I mean there is a big crossover between being autistic and trans ID

  44. More specifically it's like 99% of the people that like trains are also autistic, but it obviously does not work in the reverse for 99% of autists
