  1. Where do you get the "it's her call" from? They're currently living together and the vast majority of babies born to couples that are together but not married use the father's last name.

  2. Maybe because she’s the one pushing the baby out?

  3. I think this is a little more accurate, Sirius was a wild card!

  4. Yes and good for her. The comments on this sub while she was dating Matty (and even on this thread) were out of line. ‘Fans’ need to calm down. Taylor is an adult and doesn’t answer to anyone.

  5. Eek. YTA (well, not you, OP, the person who did all this). It's obvious that woman doesn't care for her stepdaughter even a little, but this was downright sociopathic.

  6. Agreed! OP hates Jess so much that she sees all her actions as malicious. I’m willing to bet that Jess was in physical pain/discomfort, and that’s why she had an ‘attitude’ at dinner. Plus her boyfriend got kicked out of the trip for the niece- why does OP think that Jess should be fine with that? Poor girl can’t do anything right for her stepmom.

  7. It’s posts like this that give this sub a bad rep. As a childfree person, what someone else does with their education is of no concern to me. If anything, it’s a good thing that a highly educated person is having children. They’ll hopefully raise better people!

  8. Sounds like the VC Andrews Casteel movie series… the main character’s name was Heaven

  9. Peter, and I think to an extent, Remus, were considered the charity cases of the group. I don’t think they felt anything was ‘off’ with Peter, but they certainly thought he was less smart, less attractive, and less charismatic than them, and treated him as such.

  10. NTA. Your parents did both of you a huge disservice by allowing your sister to be so dependent on you. Your sister is also being very entitled. Good on you for speaking up for yourself.

  11. NTA. Why should you have to swallow your feelings so he doesn’t have to feel bad about his lazy proposal? Especially when he knew it wasn’t what you wanted?

  12. I think he would be sad, and possibly feel even more guilt than he already does. He would probably ignore Harry as opposed to being antagonistic towards him.

  13. Really? Because virtually anyone in their teenage years or younger would know mocking the death of someone’s relative was crossing a line.

  14. lol untrue. Children are some of the cruelest people!

  15. The wizarding population is so spread out that a magical primary school would’ve had to be a boarding school like hogwarts, and I think most parents would want to keep their children home until they’re at least 10. I think JKR’s explanation that they would be homeschooled or sent to muggle primary school makes sense.

  16. Isn’t the sister causing drama by not repaying OP?

  17. Sounds like ‘When a stranger calls’ 2006

  18. Sounds like ‘When a stranger calls’ 2006

  19. I disagree. I think the twins knew not to cross certain lines, or take things overboard. I don’t think any of their pranks actually hurt anyone, and I don’t believe the twins were ever truly malicious.

  20. Sure! But it doesn’t seem as though that was the general reaction to their pranks. They seemed to be mostly appreciated by their classmates.

  21. Lover- especially as I’d just moved when that album came out, so it reminds me of a really lovely period of my life

  22. Yes , but she could only have known that with hindsight . She had convinced herself that Henry would eventually return to her and restore Mary and ‘return’ to sanity.

  23. Agreed. His actions were unprecedented and drastic, and I don’t think she expected he’d go that far.

  24. Maybe Two Weeks Notice (2002) with Sandra Bullock and Hugh Grant?

  25. YTA. My god, you’re cold. Your family wasn’t perfect, but your response is to completely abandon and humiliate your mother? Wow.

  26. ESH. Sounds like this boy has a lot of issues, and I can understand why you wouldn’t want him just camping on your property- I wouldn’t feel safe either. I get the snap reaction of wanting him out. However, despite being 18, it sounds like he’s vulnerable and needs help- you could see if you can get him into a shelter. And your daughter should NOT have brought someone into your property without you knowing.

  27. She’s entitled to her opinion but I think it’s absolutely ok for people to continue to enjoy their childhood interests. It’s a little odd to ‘worry’ over other people’s harmless interests though!

  28. Regardless of whose fault the divorce was, telling a struggling 6 year old to ‘grow up’ is a pretty crappy reaction.

  29. I want to see Hermione the way she’s depicted in the books- smart but not perfect. She was too ‘perfect’ in the movies and it actually ended up making me dislike her character so much.
