Lord_Fae

  1. How did you get it started? I’m just starting blacksmithing classes and absolutely loving it, and have been toying in the back of my mind with the idea of eventually starting a business

  2. Apologies, I forgot to respond. I'm a self-starter. I haven't taken any classes, but I've gained some basic metallurgy knowledge through my time in maintenance. I have a few friends who are in the trade that I can talk to if I have any questions.

  3. Absolutely no worries at all, I forgot I’d asked! Thank you so much!

  4. The fey are often very literal and choose their words carefully. They are masters of hospitality and use it as a way to exert influence over humans. For example, eating their food will prevent you from leaving their home, you are now bound by the laws of hospitality to continue serving them until you have paid off your debt.

  5. This is a Vegvisir. It's a Norse symbol meant to guide a person down the right path, be it in life or travel. It's more or less a symbol of protection and nothing to be worried about.

  6. Also, who rolls for luck? Wouldn't that just be... The result of your dice?

  7. Dungeon Crawl Classics has a luck ability score

  8. True, some don't wear anything at alĺ.

  9. My fear is that I'll never be able to DM more than one session in a campaign without it exploding. Every single game I've tried to run in the past three years had failed after session one and it's just caused me to become depressed and anxious about starting any more.

  10. Well she's been on the loose for a year, so at this point she's either still recovering her strength or just trolling us.

  11. If I recall, she specifically targets rulers with her maliciousness. Naturally, corrupting rulers would lead to chaos within their realms. Her legend claims that she was a key element to the end of the Shang dynasty.

  12. Just do it. It's gonna be fun. Use star wars 5e as a functional example and you can't go wrong. The info is free in

  13. Why is this mod adding oil pressure to the mech's heat management? Battletech mechs apply myomer bundles to simulate living muscle, not hydraulic systems. Their engines are also fusion reactors, not internal combustion. Sounds like a wierd fiddly design choice.

  14. Streak SRMs are what you give to a trainee pilot who can't control their missile fire. Literally missiles on training wheels.

  15. In MW 5, you may rest easy in the knowledge that the battletech setting has its own explicitly defined war crimes! As per the Ares Conventions Article V disavows combat in cities... unless there also happens to be a military structure in said city! Not a war crime in 97% of MW 5 engagements... carry on!

  16. Didn't the Marshall from the Kestrel Lancers say they got rid of the Ares Conventions?

  17. He did. I mostly bring them up as a functional in-universe analogue to the Geneva Conventions so that I could justify blowing up the financial sector of some backwater planet.

  18. The Urbanmech... it can carry a big gun and I'm a simple man.

  19. 100% the Urbie always has my back.

  20. This is a masterful art piece. Good work

  21. A calzone basically requires ricotta cheese. No one is really putting ricotta on pizza

  22. You just watch me. I have no such pizza weaknesses.

  23. Try removing your mouse and keyboard before booting it up. Mine froze up like that because my mouse was viewed as a "bootable device" in the bios. Naturally my mouse doesn't have the tech to get a computer past Bios so it freezes.

  24. flipping the bird is a social gesture too. i also find it funny to imagine a guy in a massive robe with face looking like one of philosophers of the past holding folds of his robe with one hand while suggesting you to f*ck off

  25. It's just Diogenese as a player character.

  26. My character starts the day with coffee. Doesn't matter that it could be used to stay awake, it's a comfort from the old world. They head into town with their shopping cart and loot whatever they can use. After their "shift" is over they return home, cook a decent meal, read a book. If they're injured, I spend the day exercising and medicating.

  27. That is always my stance. I don't care if you house rule, but for gods sake be consistent.

  28. Well, it sounds like this DM is consistently needing spellcasters... so I guess there's that.

  29. I had a DM target one of my characters in a very similar way. When I spoke up about it, he got defensive, talking about how it was for the "fun" of the group. When he promised that SA wouldn't happen, he would toe the line to make you comfortable with him pushing your boundaries so that the next time he asked, you might cave. When I told him off for it and held my ground, the dude became a monster. He shouting at me for "manipulating" him and tried to slander me to as many people as possible.

  30. 3.5 edition has a lot of good rules for object destruction due to spells. The traditional reason for rolling to destroy a door is to determine whether creatures on the other side or in the surrounding area have time to respond to the noise. If you succeed the roll, they know you're coming, but you catch them by surprise by SWATting their asses. Lockpicking is intended to be the sneaky way through. Full stealth, full surprise.

  31. I'm a fan of escalating nonsense when archfey need revenge...

  32. And naturally, if the person affected tries to sell the items, it's considered rude.
