  1. Oh dude I hate the widow, I cannot stand it. Yes its got ridiculously good dmg but like you said, the recoil and reload speed specifically are such a turn off as they slow things down too much, I plan on doing an infiltrator playthrough in the coming days after Im finished with my first andromeda run and I know that snipers only getting used if Im desperate lol

  2. Out of the sniper rifles for when I run as an infiltrator I prefer the Mantis great damage, decent ammo reserves, and decent weight for the damage it does. The Viper is only a little lighter and the Widow/Black Widow only does like 15-20% more damage for like 40% more weight.

  3. Don't go to the Fluent in Finance sub with this they will go crazy on you for insinuating that the rich are bad and that taxing them more won't work.

  4. The war between Israel and Palestinians is a different war than the war between Israel and Hamas the former has been ongoing since the 1948 war and latter has been ongoing since 2008. Hamas should have been dealt with 25-30 freakin years ago yet here we are. After the PLO and Fatah in 1988 switched from the one state solution as their primary goal to the 2 state solution and formally recognized Israel Hamas switched from being a charity to taking the mantle of the old PLO/Fatah and became a terror organization.

  5. Correct. And the only path forward is with foreign Arab nations stepping in to help Israel oust Hamas and establish a competent leader in Gaza who is willing to put foreign aid to good use for the Palestinians (instead of tunnels and weapons), and one who is not going to blanket reject every peace offering with no counter offer

  6. The Arabs have offered such a thing in the past, but Israel never even acknowledged it. Only once was there no counter offer made and that was at the Camp David talks in 2000 every other peace talks had back and forth discussions.

  7. Netanyahu has bragged about how he has undermined and/or stopped a Palestinian state from forming. Some people use words and laws to get what they want others like Hamas use violence.

  8. The topic of this post was 'Hamas says it will lay down arms if two-state solution implemented'.

  9. It takes two to tango. If middle to high ranking people in the Israeli government are undermining the peace process then it can undermine trust. Furthermore Hamas has never been part of the peace talks anyway only ceasefires between them and Israel. Netanyahu for years has been the only one to be able to form a stable coalition government.

  10. Finding out the hard way that unlike America in the rest of the world guns and ammunition aren't considered toys.

  11. Well even in America you just can't take a gun on to a plane it has to be in a specific type of gun case and be in checked luggage so you can't actually get ahold of it in flight. Granted a number of them do get confiscated every freakin year still.

  12. Yes, in your domestic country. Don’t be bringing a firearm to a foreign country, you land in their soil you are subject to their laws. They say no ammo, you check you don’t got ammo. Due diligence wherever you fly when travel planning

  13. My point was that even in the US firearms are quite restricted when it comes to airports and the planes themselves. Idiots get into trouble and I have zero sympathy for them in fact I laugh at them as I hope everyine else does.

  14. No. Genocide of the natives is saddest and most horrific thing of all of them hands down. Period. These barbarians systematically annihilated and enslaved an entire native population and now maintain a almost clean image and downplay it like it's nothing big deal. That must signal to any outside observed how brutal and ruthless US history is. Thank God my people in our land were strong enough to not be genocided by the arriving colonists back then. They did try to genocide us and claim our historic land for them in one of our episodes of history but luckily that didn't work.

  15. The Genocide of the indengionus population along with the Indian "schools", slavery(in which the culture of those enslaved was attempted to be erased too) and Jim Crow, US war crimes which includes acts of genocide and ethnic cleansing along other things, and the coups around the world are all horrible, abhorrent, and have had a hugely negative impact on the world and for the most part each have been minimized, dismissed, and/or swept under the rug outright. There is a reckoning coming for each of them for the US as well as every other former colonial power and the things they did. There was some dealing with the Japanese Internment camps, but more should be done.

  16. And what would a white American likely point to as being the worst? I am just curious I just wanna know what those white people of the US think is the worst.

  17. I threw a dart so to speak(closed my eyes and picked after moving my finger up and down for a couple of minutes) and choose slavery, but that's me other white people might choose one of the others if they know enough about them to pick since for such a long time each of the options have or had been deliberately covered up or minimized. I almost went into teaching, but because of how the Texas State government was pushing to whitewash US Imperialism back when I was in university I didn't want to bash my head against that wall and now we have the anti-CRT bullshit sadly there will always be those that don't want to properly deal with the past for they fear losing their privilege today because being equal to others makes them scared.

  18. There is a difference between targeting military targets and targeting civilians as Hamas does if they did the former then moat people would be generally okay with them, but they do the latter so. Support for Hamas prior to October 7th was trending down in every group especially among the rest of the Arab countries.

  19. I've definitely seen it happening on Reddit. Some people are very easily influenced by people with easy answers and offering a community.

  20. Yeah that is in part how ISIS was able to recruit westerners to join the "cause" in Syria. Groups like ISIS and neo-nazis target the outcast and those most vulnerable and have done so for all of human history it is just much easier now with the internet.

  21. He was the producer and people had walked saying the set wasn't safe yet he kept filming going. The armorer was a rookie at not just the position, but had never worked a film set before.

  22. Yes I'm aware and I stand by my statement. She is still partially responsible.

  23. I personally put most of it on him like 55% with her getting the rest and she deserves the conviction and whatever sentence they give her.

  24. I mean.. if I were in that situation, I’d absolutely have fun with the cult stuff. Start dressing the same… giving people weird looks as a couple

  25. Ha! My gf has alopecia, so no hair at all. She has strictly forbidden me from shaving my head again because we got some SERIOUS stares when out and about.

  26. Get a cap(?that makes you look bald) and go out only if she is cool with doing it to get laughs/mess with people.

  27. I’ve always wondered about this! My question: is the Australian military… kind of a joke? Or does the rest of the world need to be WAY more concerned about Emus?? Considering what little I know about Australians, I lean toward the latter…

  28. I know like nothing on it, but I imagine it was because of what they were allowed to use against the Emu armies. The Australian Army is like most other Western countries armies same with the Australian Navy.

  29. "Look, I know the last President may have been a bit unorthodox and wouldn't STFU but the United States of America honors it's promises and commitments. Even if that means sticking our collective dicks in a hornets nest and whacking it with a bat"

  30. Cyberbullying isn't something I really factor - because people who'd be far too scared to talk to you like that in person are usually the ones doing it online. To that end - just like with most everything else negative, their "power" evaporates the second you block them, close the window, log off, etc, etc, etc.

  31. Cyberbullying isn't typically someone DMing you or posting on your social media page, but posting on theirs about you and other places spreading lies with words, pictures, and/or videos.

  32. Worked most of my life in hospitals and clinics and taught Rad Techs / "X-Ray Techs" back when the University of Utah Hospital had a two year Radiographic Technology program. I taught my students that you always draw up in front of the patient.

  33. That also applies to food workers sad thing to have to remind someone to wash their freakin hands when you handle food.

  34. in no fucking universe would the majority give it back.

  35. Pal firstly that is at least in the US a major felony I don't want to go to prison for multiple years especially because I live in Texas and our prisons don't have A/C of which the UN HRC has called out twice that I know of. Secondly either the person that lost it had that much for a very specific reason or they are a gang or mafia member and I have no interest in crossing those types of people.

  36. Nah pal what the beheading story was about was trying to show the savagery that is Hamas and by extension the Palestinians given how some top officials have talked about Palestinians right after October 7th terror attack, which was a horrible and abhorrent act of terrorism by a terrorist organization, and prior to it. Sexual violence has sadly and abhorrently always been used in war to cause terror in the other side's population and typically can be employed by both sides in any given war/conflict. Israel has long been accused of sexual violence by those detained in administrative detention along with acts of torture.

  37. So protestors can block traffic but blocking protestors (even as a form of counter protest) is not allowed? Why?

  38. If a protest gets the necessary permits to use a street or unlikely as it is freeway/motorway then yes they have the right to do so, but if they just do it without those permits then the police can and will come in and deal with them generally by arresting them now how long they may be held varies due to a few different things.

  39. The UN called Texas prisons out not too long ago because of this again after doing so in like 2007.

  40. There are those in prison that are on medications that make the heat more dangerous for them as well as the fact that tempers flare more often the hotter one is so it is a safety issue for guards as well.

  41. If that were to happen I would start to use my gay voice(stereotypical idea of what gay men sound like) and potentially come on to them just to fuck with them then switch it to either Southern or Russian voice.

  42. Pal I am talking about the Spanish Civil War in the 1930s if by me saying (Francisco) Franco wasn't a big enough hint.

  43. I'm just looking for Christian extremists murdering in their god's name like OOP was tweeitng about.

  44. In the Spanish Civil War I have no clue, but today in the US there are those in state governments and at the federal level that are trying to get laws passes some of which have been as well as their rhetoric towards those in the LGBTQ+ community which has had an increasing effect in attacks on the LGBTQ+ community. The evangelicals are getting similar laws passed in places like Africa perhaps you heard about Uganda. Christian terrorist are using the pen to terrorize those they are aiming at.

  45. Is it what 10th post about which countries recognize Palestine this week with different colors.

  46. 3rd one I have seen, but 1st with those that are considering or soon to recognize Palestine.

  47. I used to drive for work short haul, delivering newspapers that we printed for commercial customers, my longest day driving was like 6-7 hrs typically now a days I don't want to go much further than 2.5 hrs away if I can help it.

  48. If I could stay awake long enough 18 hours would be a little much, with breaks obviously

  49. Just no. Truck drivers are required to stop after 8 hrs by law because of the dangers of driving for that long even with breaks every 2 or 3 hrs.

  50. Restrain the other person by arm barring them, bear hug, or twisting their arm behind their back. Pushing them back with reasonable force is a good physical option. Then there's the tried and true method of just leaving all together.

  51. They are different kind of violence they are intended to stop the attack while trying to genuinely minimize the potential harm to the attacker and yourself.

  52. that’s just not true. anyone trying to seriously assess the war knows that the average civilian casualty ratio in modern warfare is around 9:1. the IDF’s civilian to combatant ratio is estimated to be 1.5:1 which is lower than anything the US has ever had. i recognize looking at it like that comes from an incredibly privileged perspective, but it’s how many western observers are assessing the war and IDF.

  53. I have serious doubts that Israel has been able to achieve such a ratio given what the vast majority of the battlefield is. The only way Israel can achieve such a ratio is by literally counting all males 16 yrs to like 60 yrs old as combatants. The US in Iraq and Afghanistan had ratios of like 4 and 3 to 1 and that was with multiple different battlefield types and heavy restrictions when in urban areas such as dropping muntitions no larger than 250lbs in a deliberate attempt to minimize the potential risks civilian casualties.

  54. It’s fair to have doubts but do you extend them to hamas’s reported numbers too? Hamas has 25-35k employed fighters, they intentionally don’t report combatant casualty figures. It’s part of their strategy.

  55. I haven't kept up with the death split between men, women, and children(how and who qualifies is reportedly an issue males 16-18 are included), but when the death toll was 15k total Israel claimed 5k were combatants then when it was 18k total 7k were supposedly combatants. The last I heard Israel claimed something like 13k combatants when the total was 30-32k killed. There are reports questioning the effectiveness of the AI Target Generating program Gospel by +972 who found out there were issues from when the program was 1st used in the 2021 war. The truth is somewhere in the middle, but we won't know this until either Israel allows the international community(reporters and agencies) into Gaza or the end of the war.

  56. I had an English teacher in 8th grade that was a former US Army tank commander he would make the kids who misbehaved do push ups or just plank. I was only at that school for the 1st half of 8th grade because we moved during Christmas break.
