  1. She looks amazing! Gives me a bit of Harley Quinn vibes. Like she was laughing andbeing a jester while murdering ppl in her durge days

  2. Thank you!! Definitely part of the vibe I was going for - they were my sassy anarchist couple who eventually find a better way (and themselves)!

  3. I put on Masquerade by Deconstructing Eden before bed this morning, and it is just delectable. Silks, velvets, cake, wine and candied fruit are all there - sweet without being cloying, a bit fruity, a bit boozy, a bit velvety.

  4. I’ve been grumpy about Arcana and their drama, but I have so many samples to get through, so today I’m wearing Nectar (ripe, plump blackberries and creme de cassis with sheer, summery georgette, cold swirls of vanilla ice cream, a tuft of tender lambswool, and a field of softly blooming sunflowers on a nearby hillside).

  5. Ordered a bunch of samples last week and they’re arriving today, I’m so excited to try them out!

  6. Today is our kiddo’s 5th birthday party and I’m wearing Hexennacht - Pastel Goth (marshmallow, buttercream, black violet, violet leaf, raspberry-rose compote). The raspberry and rose are deliciously juicy without one overpowering the other, the violet gives it a little purple “edge”, and the marshmallow hugs everything in a soft, warm hug.

  7. My all time favorite fruity aquatic is Sorcellerie - Love and the Sea (Passionfruit and raspberry lemonade, salty skin, sweetgrass, coconut water, neroli, driftwood, ambergris (vegan, synthetic), tropical musk). Deliciously fruity, tangy and lots of salty ocean, without being “fishy” at all. It’s juicy, salty and super refreshing.

  8. Oof, I would be frothing at the mouth! Like the previous poster said, it totally depends on the couple, the style of photography they like and if they understand/are okay with being posed and guided the entire day, and potentially missing out on some of the more candid elements that are less likely to happen to be capture with that style. I know a couple of photographers who work like this and they have clients who are happy with them, but those are not my clients. (Personally, the few photographers I know who shoot like that tend to have control issues, just saying.)

  9. Sorcellerie - Falling Stars (Cardamom Orange Cream with Brown Sugar) Notes: a super-cozy, rich and warm blend of black coffee, almond cream, sandalwood, natural oud, palo santo oil, tonka bean absolute, and vanilla bean, and cardamom orange cream with brown sugar.

  10. This morning, I wore Apricot Eyelet by Cocoapink (Juicy golden apricots swirled with our heavenly Frosted Eyelet (buttercream, marshmallow, vanilla ice cream)). It’s a yummy apricot cake scent, and I really do enjoy it, but I have to slather it on for it to have any kind of throw or longevity.

  11. I have an 8-year old and a 2-year old, and I workout 0 times a week. Hope that helps.

  12. I consider half my job my workout - wedding/elopement photographer, so all of my shooting, walking and light hiking counts, right? We have an almost 5 year old who is a never ending ball of energy and the biggest extrovert, we’re tired ALL the time. I think the last time I felt genuinely rested at all was during our honeymoon 6+ years ago…who are these superhuman people? I admire you all!

  13. Does anyone have a recommendation for shampoo bars besides Felin Lune? She mentioned she is winding down some products and I want to make sure I have backups. I have very fine, thin hair that gets oily fast. I've been using her All Hair Types bar and loving it, but also tried a bar from TJ's that left my hair a greasy mess.

  14. I looove kheimistrii’s ambunu infusion shampoo, it’s pricey but on par/better than expensive shampoos for me, and I’ve tried many. I have constantly changing, color treated, fine hair that tends to get dry on the ends and oily at the scalp and I found this formula to work really well for me. No scalp irritation, super gentle on color and I can wait 3-4 days between shampoos now.

  15. Oh wow this is awesome!!! And she's abroad! All the more reason to go to the Netherlands!

  16. Yes! She travels all over the world to tattoo, I got so lucky that she came to Colorado, it seems like she makes her schedule 3ish months at a time

  17. She doesn't seem to have an IG but she definitely exists in the world T.T

  18. She’s @withmaiza for her general IG and @maiza.bookings for her booking/travel page!

  19. This is absolutely beautiful!

  20. It's like an old book illustration! Absolutely stunning

  21. Thank you!! That’s exactly one of the reasons I love her work, old book illustration is perfect

  22. I have slow season but it’s not THAT slow, fortunately (or unfortunately), since I get lots of clients from southern states who come here for the mountain and winter vibes. Definitely fewer weddings, more engagements and family sessions, but I’m planning on updating my website, working on admin, tax things, maybe do a few creative model calls, update my own headshots…. Oh and finally play Baldur’s Gate 3.

  23. When I was a little scrawny kid-- I've seen pictures of me at that age, I was legit scrawny back then -- it was a BATTLE to get to the bottom of the pool. All those diving games where you pick up an item from the bottom, it would take all my strength and technical skill to go downwards further than just bending and touching my toes. Buoyant as hell.

  24. Same!! When I was small and thin, I floated, and now that I’m in my mid 30s and fat, I float just as well. I could neverrrrrr dive to the bottom of a pool, even as a kid, unless I jumped into the pool full strength, and even then I’d just gently bounce off the bottom and pop up like a cork. I used to nap in the water as a kid, and thought it was the most normal thing!

  25. Love Witch Baby! I make their bath bombs last 2-3 baths since they’re so big, their body oil is a great consistency and strongly scented, and I do love their body butter after shaving, or before bed. Yes, it’s greasier but I live in a high altitude, very dry climate and my skin needs some extra moisture here and there.

  26. Not an asshole. As a wedding photographer I find it ignorant that people want to jump in the aisle in front of a paid professional trying to capture moments of a father and daughter or whatever the relationship is.

  27. Jumping on the NTA train! As another wedding photographer, that’s a big reason why I ask couples to have a “3 Mississippis long” kiss, because 75% of the time, even when the couple request an unplugged ceremony, there will be an aunt, uncle or a grandma out front with a tablet who I need to gently pull to the side so I can get my shots. There are few things worse during those moments than great aunt Ethel pulling out her ancient ipad right as the couple are about to have their first kiss and getting in the front of the aisle.

  28. My mom had me dieting from the age of 5 onwards (I gained a bunch of weight after being prescribed hardcore steroids as a kid in 90s Eastern Europe), being fat was seen as the worst thing you can be. Every outfit in my childhood had to be “feminine and slimming”, and no amount of academic accomplishments meant anything if my weight wasn’t where it was “supposed to be”. She would talk negatively about fat people, call herself fat (she was never over 130-ish lbs), and the only time I felt like she was proud of me was when I was neck deep in a raging ED in my early 20s and a size 2-4.

  29. Have you tried Dark Brotherhood and if you have, is that similar to Game Over?

  30. I amp cinnamon too! If it's in a scent it becomes the entire scent. May I ask if you have found a pumpkin scent that doesn't have cinnamon or a halloween spicy scent that doesn't have it? Or one that somehow works? I can't find just the right one that doesn't go cinnablast on me.

  31. Ohhhhh I gotta try these, especially Salem. Things like toffee and maple, and PSL tend to go reeeeally Yankee Candle on me. I can't stand it. So this all sounds promising. It's like my skin chemistry is so damn contrary and won't let me enjoy nice things. Thank you!

  32. You’re so welcome! Salem is great, and if you end up getting samples from Red River Apothecary, I also highly recommend Hearth (warm cashmere musk, crunchy dried leaves, fresh cedarwood, amber musk, soft woods and sweet vanilla cream). This one works both on my partner and I! It’s not so much a pumpkin fall type scent, but more of a “I just finished my walk in the crunchy leaves outside and now I’m warming up by the fire in my wood cabin in a big fuzzy cashmere sweater” fall scent.

  33. I'm thinking of getting a sampler with: mist and moonlight, of the wolf, pumpkin ambre, the wood carver, and the crow. There are so many others I want to try though... does anyone have thoughts or impressions of these 5? It's hard to know if they will come off as too masculine based on the notes.

  34. I tried and full sized Mist and Moonlight! It’s a light, cool, woodsy vanilla on me and layers beautifully with other scents. I have it in the body butter as well, and it makes for an excellent base for layering with edps or oils.
