No one mentioned Age of Wonders: Planetfall, which is madness, as it's best in show in this genre. Civ meets Xcom, and there's a huge variety of factions to choose from that totally change how battles play out.
Does the BAC Mono understeer like a SOB for you all? Just did a few laps for the first time in this car and boy oh boy was it a world away from how easy the Atenza GR4 is.
The sport softs are a lot better overall and should help pull you through the corners. Maybe it was because I did this challenge after the Laguna Seca Circuit Experience but I didn't find the understeer too bad.
Just had to adjust to a different car (duh, I know…). I’m in the 2:06 range, which I’m fine with. Also, you just completing the Laguna Seca Circuit Experience… I have gold in all the individual sections, but man, that complete lap gold is sooooo unbelievably tight. I’m .5 seconds away and don’t think I can personally save any time.

Focus on straight line braking, give it a tenth of freedom, and then turn hard into the corners. Carry as much speed through the corners as you can before getting back on the throttle, because it does not want to turn if it thinks you'd like to stop or go, or if you've too recently done either. Go faster to the throttle on the corners with dips to help guide you through. Foe the last corner, make sure your line is set and exit in 2nd gear.
Doing that right now. About .5 off in this damn understeer viper.

I did this yesterday while in the lead by 10 seconds. The reset puts you just out of reach from driving back to the pit entrance, and I didn't have enough fuel to do another lap. I literally shut off the PS5.

Just goes to show how rare dominant champs are in HW, he defends the belt 3 times and it’s the most ever. That said I think if you go off his total body of work he’s got some of the best wins - he beat DC twice, overeem, mark hunt (mark was on a streak iirc at the time), Jds twice, Werdum when he was champ. I think Ngannous record probably stacks up or surpasses him soon, Stipe probably isn’t GOAT in the next few years but I think it’s fair to say he’s still got the resume - for now
3 consecutive title defenses. Randy Couture and Tim Sylvia also defended the HW belt 3 times, but in separate runs. Stipe took the overall record when he got his 4th defense in the 3rd fight with DC. Fun fact: He and Couture are tied for most wins in UFC HW championship fights with 6.
