Lather

  1. And I thought my comings out have gone well... that's incredible, I'm so happy and relieved for you!

  2. Thanks, I really appreciate it. Still in a slight state of shock that coming out a PRU went to well aha.

  3. This was lovely to read. Hope you're well!

  4. What my alcoholic or recreational drug of choice was.

  5. Lol I have a kid that asks me if I've boofed cocaine at least a few times a week.

  6. That’s wild. I kinda noped out and forgot about it from the first trailer. Did not realize the success it garnered. Might have to give it a chance.

  7. I thought it was awful but it works well as a family film.

  8. All of what I'm about to say comes from years of working in PRUs while out, having experienced colossal amounts of homophobia, including serious threats of violence.

  9. It's not ridiculous at all. Yes it's on the extreme end of things but I'd much rather the police get involved now rather than when she's 18 or after she's taken a beating from the public because she's said something to a stranger.

  10. Also log everything on CPOMS. I am American and log things under targeted discrimination of race/gender and mention xenophobia in my comments when called “American bitch” and things like that. I have pushed for suspension over this and have been successful yet there were other behaviors/assaults that were considered when the pupils were suspended.

  11. It's insane isn't it? I have a mild Welsh accent and get called a sheep shagger on a daily basis, I can't imagine the shit you get for having a full blown American accent.

  12. I had PsA that made it so I couldn't really work out, and changing my diet didn't really help. I was on MTX for 2 years which also did nothing.

  13. MTX works for a lot of people, but yeah, did nothing for me and for plenty of other people. From my understanding it's more likely to work if you have RA than PsA.

  14. Ohh this was probably it actually. I also have sesame oil too, just forgot to add it. I guess if I cooked this and reduced it down a bit it would make a good salad dressing.

  15. Nah, these lids really annoy me. I can't quite twist them back on properly

  16. Yeah the annoyance far outweighs the convenience lol. Plus I've probably downed the drink in 10 mins anyway.

  17. Man I knew people here didn’t know anything about programming but seeing y’all debate an exam question for high schoolers really makes it obvious.

  18. I'm here from all, is the correct answer 6?

  19. It was corny. It was giving the boomer in the office who does the "fun" presentations and you appreciate the effort, but its still white bread left to toast in the sun

  20. It was hilarious by Drag Race standards which is still painful at best. Watching Ross Matthews analyse that slide joke was cursed cringe.

  21. They'll probably feel like absolute hell by Friday, indicating that they've got a dependency. But eventually they will feel much much better of course!

  22. It varies so much. It'sunlikely they'll feel like hell by Friday. They'll probably experience some mild withdrawal such as anxiety and sleeplessness. By day number 3 they should be back to normal.

  23. Her looks may not have been able to compete with the rest of the girls left but she's just a fucking joy to watch.

  24. Honestly, I do think a lot redditors do treat these drag queens like cartoon characters with no feelings. Critique the drag, the costumes, the runways all you want. Throw some shade, I do on occasion .

  25. Yeah but I'd argue that this subreddit, compared to most social media, is pretty decent. Yes there are not-so-great comments like that one Bob is referring to, but there are way more that support and uplift the queens.

  26. Not to sound dramatic but I would cry if someone handed me this.

  27. Damn and here you have one of my HoDs telling a child that said they were just going to marry rich that 'they had to have a personality for that'. I'm sure you'll be fine OP, mild telling off at the most.

  28. Congratulations!! It is exciting to me that you want to continue with this. Don’t give up. You should be so proud of yourself.

  29. Thank you so much! Really appreciate it. I'm already planning a few solo hikes (not quite 20 miles though).

  30. Oh my god I thought you were joking...

  31. I would ask myself what is the motivation for doing this? I am an avid walker, usually around 30-32 miles/week at 12:30-12:45 per mile pace. Personally, this wouldn’t appeal to me, but your goals and desires are what is important. I don’t want to discourage you, but please do a thoughtful, sincere evaluation of your fitness level. The last thing you want to do is injure yourself and not be able to walk those 2.5 miles a day. You have my support for whatever you decide and best of luck!

  32. I think that's sort of what I'm trying to gauge by asking how difficult it is. I don't have much of a reference for how hard 20 miles is aha. It's something a few members of staff are doing at work and I quite like the people I work with so I thought it'd be a nice way to bond. I think the best idea is that I plan for at least 10 miles, but also plan an escape route after I've finished the 10.

  33. It's doable, you WILL be sore. I do this distance at least twice a year.

  34. Sore I can accept so hopefully I manage it haha. I'm bringing some biking shorts to wear under my underwear but it sounds like powder will be a good idea as well!

  35. Logically nothing about this should make me feel nostalgic, but somehow it does?

  36. That’s because of the serotonin activity that tramadol and tapentadol has, overall they’re both shitty excuses for opioids lol

  37. I still find it mad that people willingly take tapentadol. I took it once and it made me hallucinate lol.

  38. This person is either joking or being incredibly pretentious.

  39. I fully agree with this and I'm kind of worried about the comments here saying that using a nickname for a child is unprofessional. I have a nickname for every child I teach. It's such an easy way to build a rapport with them and it takes almost 0 effort.

  40. It's like that question about a tree falling in the woods and no one hears it.

  41. I don't get your question. 'Everyone' is not self-diagnosing ADHD.

  42. Thank you! This is what confused me so fucking much about the article. If you simply self diagnose, you have no access to NHS treatment, and rightly so. If you THINK you might have ADHD/ASD and seek NHS treatment for it, then the NHS is obliged to find out if that's the case.

  43. That's actually vile. It's okay to be hyperbolic in moderation when dealing with difficult students as long as you and the people around you know you're just frustrated and want the best for the child, but to refer to a child as 'it' without batting an eyelid is absolutely not a trait of someone who should be working in education.
