By this logic Cerseiās kids arenāt bastards. Why would there be any concerns about her secret affair coming out if those children are ātechnically not bastardsā for the simple fact that sheās married? Does that mean no married person can have bastards?
Yeah I really donāt know why people argue about the bastardy point when there are so many examples to pull from in ASOIAF š The law is very clear ā a child born to two unwed parents is a bastard. The only way for them to become legitimate is by royal decree from the King, and the child would adopt his true fatherās House/last name. So in the case of Rhaenyraās 3 boys, if Viserys had declared them legitimate, they would become Jace, Luke, and Joffrey of House Strong, not Velaryon.
Actually now that Iām saying this out loudā¦ if they cut Daeron, it would probably make sense to cut Maelor, too, since Daeron is the one to avenge him. Unless they give that arc to Aemondā¦?
Daeron definitely hasnāt been cut, Ryan Condal has clarified that many times. I think it makes sense that heās not in the show yet, but I expect him to at least be mentioned since heāll like debut in season 3. There were also rumours that Helaena is pregnant with Maelor during season 2
I donāt think she wouldāve even considered it so that fits with her character. Alaric was part of the inner circle of people she cared about and heās just lost his wife and children, she wasnāt gonna make him lose them again.
I love how unbalanced this shit is. The arguments in favor of the Black factions are "we're smarter, we're better, we're hotter, we're divinely appointed" and for the Green faction it's "our dragons are bigger but also the guy who plays our military commander doesn't even agree with us so why would fans lol"
I think itās because the green actors have to be careful what they say which is so sad. They get jumped every time they say something positive about their characters and their side.
See I just feel like with Stelena that their chemistry seemed really natural to me. I feel like with Delena it was more about the dynamic if that makes sense? That's why I think some people say it didn't work when they got together. It's the whole will they/won't they, we shouldn't be doing this sort of thing? Like I feel like if Paul and Nina had that same storyline/dynamic people would definitely think they had chemistry. And then when they got together it fell flat. Like I really tried to see the delena chemistry the way everyone else does and it and I would be like "Oh ok" and then Stefan would just look at Elena and its so intense and Elena's eyes would light up and I would melt after only a single look between them lol
This is what I think, the only time I felt the Delena chemistry was in scenes designed specifically to have a Delena moment. Whereas with Stelena I could feel their connection even when it wasnāt relevant to the scene
Her character was ruined by the love triangle and I 100% blame the writers for that. They made her act in ways that were so out of character which made her come across as hypocritical in the later seasons.
I was also 14 when it aired so I had no theories but I was certain it wasnāt max because they were leaning into it too much. Also didnāt think Abi was capable (canāt believe she was a suspect!) and didnāt think it was Peter (mostly because I fancied him)
I find it so annoying too, like why canāt we just talk about the characters that we like? I rarely see any character analysis on this sub, just cross posting, dunking on TB etc
I hate when people add Baela to this cause likeā¦Aegon was disabled as was his dragon and they STILL took down Baela and killed her dragon š and itās going to be even worse in the show because sheās a dragonrider for longer than she was in the book which makes her defeat even more humiliating.
I mean he was a shit father to all his kids. Only reason why he stepped up for Rhaenyra after how many years of neglect was because he was responsible for killing her mother. Even then he was still pretty shit lmfao
THANK YOU! So many people uphold him as a good father simply because he kept Rhaenyra heir but he was a terrible father to her too, even after he killed her mum.
Totally agree, he pretty much didnāt exist at all as a father to the Green kids while with Rhaenyra he at least tried to do what he thought was best (even if he was wrong). He straight up broke the scale with Alicentās kids.
This is why I am baffled by how the showrunners' introduced adult Aegon. Introducing a character as a rapist is one of the most reliable ways to ensure viewers forever see him as irredeemable and not worth empathizing with. A modern television audience would sooner forgive mass murder or gruesome torture than they'd forgive sexual violence.
I mean tbf, Viserys maritally raped Alicent on screen and a huge section of the fandom still likes him. Itās all relative in this fandom because almost every single male character in the show abuses women in one way or another.
I totally agree. They went way overboard with him, especially with the child fighting pits, & gave very little nuance to his character. Every hint and the depth of his character occurs AFTER weāve learned terrible things about him so thereās no reason for the casual audience to even care.

Also I never even thought about the Cersei argument but honestly yeah you are right lol

Yeah the fact that Caroline didnāt even get to consider her options and choose whether to have Lizzie and Josie is deeply disturbing.
I donāt think she wouldāve even considered it so that fits with her character. Alaric was part of the inner circle of people she cared about and heās just lost his wife and children, she wasnāt gonna make him lose them again.
when he just uses a giant fuck ass poster of the OC as his background
He said āMy house. My rules. My coffee.ā
This is extra funny because Criston is not even close to the worst man on that show š
Never watched a second of LI Au but very interested in this Lucinda tea, could someone break it down for me please?

The fandom is not healed until it stops hating on Elena

Mason and Lexi & Elena and Tyler

Klarolineās gotta go
I canāt remember the quote in your flair, who said that?
Tyler to Caroline at peak forwood right before they got together
wait this is actually so sweet wtf š
I find it so annoying too, like why canāt we just talk about the characters that we like? I rarely see any character analysis on this sub, just cross posting, dunking on TB etc
That Michael sucks (I think heās great)
Grace finding attraction to Tommy just for coming in and saving her from Billy Kimber AFTER he whored her out to him..lol
right š

As much I don't want to try and play the sexist card it may have been because Ben is male.
Lindaās was graphic too
yeah, youāre weird for this
Heās not the step father, heās the father who stepped up šāš¾

THANK YOU! So many people uphold him as a good father simply because he kept Rhaenyra heir but he was a terrible father to her too, even after he killed her mum.
I mean, on a 1-10 shitty father scale, he was maybe a 3-4 with Rhaenyra, but he was a 7-8 with the Green kids.

Double cheeked up on a Thursday afternoon, good God
this had no reason to make me so emotional
Iām mostly happy for Tom Glynn Carney getting his chance to shine š„¹
well, yes!
Yāall will literally bend over backwards to misunderstand very simple rules if it means dunking on characters you donāt like š
