The three rerolls from the score-board? Giving spent resources back to players is not just a good idea when things get reset, it's basic customer service.

Not to mention they removed the XP repeatable so you can't make up the difference by just playing (or grinding).

Xp repeatable missing was a bug, not intentional. It's fixed now, but in fixing it, they reset all the dailys, which led to rerolled dailys resetting to what they originally was, and without refunding used re-rolls, which is annoying as FUCK.

They fixed the lost exp-repeatable weekly, and in doing so it reset all rerolled challenges, and they did NOT refund the rerolls, which fucking sucks when you've spent your three bonus re-rolls from the score board and got an epic daily. No, I am not angry, I am really fucking disappointed.

Well at least the exp daily is back, still kind of a weenie move to not refund the spent rerolls. Oh well at least it should be a one time issue.

Dropping the nukes was a demonstration of the new extreme power differential between the US and Japan, making it clear that the war was over.

It also had the purpose to make the Japanese realize that they could not win, and as weird as it sounds, it was to reduce casualties on both sides. Without the nukes, the Japanese Government and Military would have kept fighting until each one of them was dead and the only way the US would have been able to end the war was with a land invasion that would probably have killed millions of people. It was, sadly, the lesser evil.
