I have liked the show so far. The pace, while it may be a little slow, hasn't bothered me. I am glad they are not rushing the the story. I have personally liked all the additions and changes they have made so far in the adaption, like introducing Kang Taeshik early on.
I don’t know anyone who watched the show. I think this Star Wars TV show thing is going the same way the movies did. Slowly sinking into further irrelevance
Obi Wan was the last straw for me, it was utter trash. Then again I didn't even bother with the "Rise of Skywalker" or Solo. I pretty much gave up on Star wars because of the Last Jedi, but I admit the Luke Skywalker scene in the Mandoloriane made me think that maybe Disney could actually make things right, but they have subsequently shown that isn't the case. The whole of Lucasfilms needs to be purged at this point. None of them can be trusted to make Star Wars.
All the buildup to that episode was specifically to have Luke come and save Grogu, when the X wing pulled up I knew it was him instantly, as there’s no one else that could save the day against those droids.
I agree. It seemed cool at the time, but it basically turned into a cheap gimmick. And then, in book of boba fett they firmly establish that all roads lead to Jake Skywalker.
I have always thought that it is okay to like bad movies or tv shows, so long as you don’t pretend they are better than they are. I like the hobbit movies; but I think they are objectively bad and that is fine.
I have come to realise that the people in charge at Disney are both too arrogant and stupid to retcon the ST. I think there is a big fear that admitting the ST was terrible by retconning it will damage their company image.
As much as I despise the Last Jedi, in my opinion the Force Awakens doesn't get nearly enough credit for the near irreparable damage it did to the Star Wars. It sacrificed everything accomplished in the Original Trilogy in order to create a bastardized copy of A New Hope. I was somewhat hopeful that the Last Jedi would be good, but it was worse then I could possibly imagine. I didn't watch Solo or The Rise of Skywalker, and I only watched the Mandalorian in order to see Luke Skywalker show up. I gave Kenobi a chance because it had the prequel actors in it, but that was a mistake. Haven't watched anything Star Wars related since.
Can’t believe I had to scroll this far to find someone who’s saying this. TROS is by far the worst movie of the three and TLJ ruined luke, but TFA absolutely fucked everything up from the start. I have absolutely no idea what they were thinking putting that movie out other than “give me your money in exchange for a far worse and less inspired version of that one movie from the 70s that everyone likes”
Yeah, in my opinion, people are far to forgiving with TFA. They rushed into making them with no idea what they were doing, and thus the sequel trilogy was a complete mess. Personally, I think if they were so desperate to remake the OT, they could have done so in the animated style of the galaxy of adventures clips they made or something. They should have taken there time with the ST.
People tend to forget this but the reason Disney doesnt recast its because the last time they did (Solo) it was an utter failure (monetarily speaking), so recasting all the OT gang would mean a even bigger risk
Well except the submarine and the blimp it seems pretty low tech. The city in the last screen shot looks quite futuristic too. Seems a bit out of place compared to the other images
I mean I like the idea of a game that crosses multiple eras (in the same vein as civ) but if they do that I hope it’s disconnected from our history. If they want to a sandbox earth that is cool.

I stopped being a Star Wars fan after watching the travesty that was Obi Wan. I just came to the realisation that it is a dead franchise and not even worth the effort to get angry any more.
Yeah I probably need to revisit it since the core feature worked pretty well. I know don't understand why by now we still don't have a dlc fleshing out Byzantium imperial mechanics or other specific regions I guess.
I encountered this issue today. I was playing as the EIC and noticed that my economy took a sudden nose dive. As it turns out it was because the UK had deleted all its ports meaning I had no market access. I had to declare independence to save myself from bankruptcy
100% agree with this. I also think that there should also be a tribal pop type, but between the two I think nomads are more important

I think the series gets better in the later books. Also I like the narrator so.

Yeah but Solo was a failure because the Sequel Trilogy sucks. The recasting wasn’t the issue

I want a civ clone, but not turn-based! if its like "ticks" from the rest of paradox games, i'm in!
I mean I like the idea of a game that crosses multiple eras (in the same vein as civ) but if they do that I hope it’s disconnected from our history. If they want to a sandbox earth that is cool.
Now I'm dissappinted. I don't want a Civ clone, I was really hoping for a paradox style gsg.
